Man, but the guy at the store said the exact same thing. He didn't know as well. are you sure about that. I tried pressing home as well to get out of the game but it wouldn't let me!!! what was that happening??

Man, the PS3 is still selling pretty strong on amazon. It's the second best selling system on amazon behind the Wii. What's more amazing is that both silver and black PS2 modelsare the third and fourth best selling systems. This is to prove that Sony is still running very strong in console sales. I believe that most of the people who bought a PS2 will eventually end up buying a PS3 because of the awesome backward compatibility the system has. Even the 80GB model that's coming out soon will be able to play the vast majority of games via software emulations. that's a big reason for any PS2 owner to upgrade to a PS3, not to mention the awesome games coming out for the PS3. This all seems like a promising future for Sony in the next console generation. All that comes from the awesome job Sony did at E3 I think + the price drop. I am very happy with how things are turning out!
Best Sellers on amazon, Video Games

Without getting too detailed:
Believe it or not, the PS3 has tons of exclusive games itself. Games like Metal Gears Solid, Final Fantasy, Twisted Metal, God of War, Uncharted, Heavenly Sword, Lair, Motorstorm, Resistance, Rachet & Clank, Jak & Daxter, Warhawk and many others. Not to mention huge games like Unreal and Haze are timed exclusives. You also have all of the multiplat games that matter, such as GTA IV, Oblivion, Call of Duty 4, Devil May Cry 4, Burnout Paradise, Resident Evil 5, Sega Rally Revo, Midnight Club 4, Smackdown VS Raw, Time Shift, Blacksite, Brothers in Arms, Medal of Honor and countless others. Both systems are worth owning because each have excellent exclusives, plus tons of great multiplat games.
Free online play. Slam the PSN if you will, but I can play with 32 players on Resistance with absolutely no lag what so ever. Same with Motorstorm, no lag. Yet I get lag in Gears of War with 8 players. No it's not my connection, I actually have a very fast connection. The features that the PSN lacks VS XBL will be patched in the future. Remember that the PSN is a few months old, where as XBL is several years old. Not to mention Home, which is also free, and will be a huge feature for the PS3.
Both systems have great controllers, and while I prefer the feel of the 360 controller to that of the SixAxis, I also get motion sensing controls with the PS3. This makes games like Motorstorm, Lair, and Warhawk much more fun to play.
Blu Ray. Maybe you don't want it, but it will be necessary in the very near future if developers want to maximize the size of their games, not to mention uncompressed sound. This may not sound like a big deal to you, but I assure you that a game like Lair and Killzone 2 can not be done on the 360 the way they can be done on the PS3. Not because of the graphics necessarily, but because of the size, scope and scale of these levels. They are gigantic, detailed and very impressive. More games like this will come, it's just a matter of time.
Backwards compatibility. This feature destroys the "backwards compatibility" on the 360. This may be much more important to the PS3 then the 360 because the Playstation brand has thousands of games in it's catalog. It's nice to play old games that you missed out on without worrying if it's on the list.
Hardware reliability. Say what you want people, but the Xbox 360 is the most unreliable console ever. Maybe you haven't personally experienced the three red lights, but take it from a 25 year old gamer who has never had a system die on him, that it's incredibly infuriating and unacceptable. I am waiting for my sixth, yes SIXTH Xbox 360 from Microsoft, and quite honestly I don't know if I'm even going to keep it when it gets back. I've had just about enough of it.
Less important things like the cosmetic look of the system, which I think the PS3 by far is the nicest looking console ever made, it's also extremely quiet compared to the 360, and the remote play feature with the PSP is awesome.
Here are just a few examples of why the PS3 is easily worth owning. In the end it's about the games and what system has what games you want to play. I personally am more excited for the PS3 exclusives then I am for the 360, not to mention that I know I can count on my PS3 to not die on me in the middle of playing. I will say that I find both systems worth owning. I could go on and on but I feel I've made my point. The PS3 may be a little more expensive, but in the end you get so much more. Let's not forget that the 360 is a continual cost years after your purchase due to having to pay for XBL, which really isn't much better then the PSN, and what is better certainly won't be for much longer.
All this being said, enjoy the games that both systems have to offer because I believe the next few years will be the best time us gamers have ever had.

that's what I call an honest reliable reply. I agree with everything you said. I will just add to that the fact that the guy is relying on the new 65nm chip which is not gauranteed to solve your problems. Microsoft is not admitting to what the flaw actually is in their system. I was thinking of buying a 360 myself to play Gears of War and other good games, but I don't want to invest in a system that will surely die on you. the 360 has a very high failure rate and will sure die on you sometime in its life. I just hate the idea of having to spend 480 dollars on a system that will die on me for sure. I know it has a warranty for three years, but seriously what do you do after 3 years? You loose your invested money! I want to have a system that I know is going to last me at least 5 years. the PS3 has some great games coming up in just a couple of weeks.
