ace52387

lol...there certainly ARE cons. Quick question...what is this DLNA media streaming?

One of the biggest pros if you have an HDTV is Blu-ray player and HDMI 1.3. Another nice pro is near full backward compatability until the new 80gb bundles come in.

Cons:

The PS3's future in terms of pricing is pretty volatile. So it's hard to recommend making it an immediate purchase unless you really need the EE chip for ps2 games.

Currently, the 360 has better games, and will have more high profile games at least until the end of the year (i mean in total, not new)

Most multiplats choose the 360 as the primary platform. 360 has more units sold and therefore has more leverage with developers at the moment.

Relative to the 360 elite, the PS3 is an easy buy with a similar price and Blu-ray player, but relative to the Wii, it's not so easy a sell.

The 360 will have more high profile games??? what world do you live in? Last time I checked, you are getting 3 games that are worth anything this holiday season (halo, MassEffect, and BioShock)and one of them, BioShock, can be played on a PC. PS3 is getting the better games this holiday season including WarHawk, Heavenly Sword, Lair, UT3, Haze, Folklore, and others. This old story of having more better games on the 360 is about to change real soon, so please give us a break, will you?

Expect PS3 sales in Europe to skyrocket when FIFA 2008 is released.

Europe and Asia are dominant Playstation territories. Everyone and their mom has a PS2 there. Expect people to begin upgrading their gaming setups...espcially once Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 is also released.

That's a very good point you mentioned there.

for a very simple reason. Multiplatform games are usually developed first on the 360 then these games get a crappy port to the PS3. for example NCAA football runs in 1080i on the 360 and only 720p on the ps3. We all know that the PS3 is more than capable of handling 1080i, but developers are lazy and want to make money asap, so they get the game to look ok on the PS3 while the 360 version gets more attention. When company actually take their time creating a PS3 game, it comes great and example of that is Oblivion which looks better on the PS3 than it does on the 360. the reason is that developers actually took their time developing the game rather than creating a crappy port like most other developers do. I don't necessarly blame the developers because it's more cost effective to produce a game on the 360 than the PS3, so that's why that develop for the 360 first, I think. BUT, this all is soon to change I think because Sony is offering more support for development on the PS3 to companies.

it only list the races you have won. Also its rankings don't make any freaking sense. I have seen people ranked legends for simply have raced a few races and not have won many at all.

what games do you like? Resistance is a must have if you like FPS. MotorStorm if you like arcade racing (this game is an awesome game online). Rainbow six vegas is also another great Tactical shooter. As far as RPG games, Oblivion is good, and God of War 2 (this one is a ps2 game, but definitely worth playing and should keep busy for a while)

Heck, I love the game to death and could possibly play it for many hours. It's just so fun (specially when the Catch-up is on and you're way behind!!!) But I have to say that I am really disappointed with the ranking system. I am not the best out there, but have finished many races in 2nd and 3rd place. Why don't I get credit for those??? The ranking system needs to take into consideration these things in my opinion and account for the first 5 at least!! Do you guys agree?
