It's moving to modern day? ABOUT TIME! I honestly think that WWII games should just stop being made, except for the people that are actually interested in the history, which is probably a very low percentage of gamers. I like World War II games, don't get me wrong, but there have been so many of them that I think it is time to move onto something more futuristic.

Try running the installer as an administrator. When the autorun prompt comes up, choose "Open folder to view files", right click the installer, and choose Run As Administrator. This MAY fix it.Zeke129

Bottom line: I want to be able to take advantage of Direct X10, I was just wondering if there were any good games that support it at the moment. I've tried Lost Planet, but that runs horrible in DX10, at about 30fps average.

Well apparently they can write. What's more annoying is people who reply to posts pointing out what someone didn't do correctly and give no helpful advice whatsoever pertaining to what they asked.

Anyway, your computer is fine for the most part, but you definitely need to upgrade your graphics card. Vista on 1gb? Ouch. I'm only using 1gb right now, it's fine because I have an awesome graphics card, but you will notice some stuttering if you want to play games on high detail. If you're fine with playing Halo 2 on minimum settings, you might be able to... Just maybe, but not very well.

The bottom line is, you have an Xbox 360. I highly recommend you just play games on there instead. Halo 2 isn't that great for the PC from what I hear, you'll probably have just as much fun (if not, more) playing it on the 360. Unless you find a decent amount of cash to spend (around $250 or so) you probably shouldn't go for pc gaming. Don't get me wrong though, your card will run a lot of older games just fine on medium or low settings, and if you're fine with that you can find some great PC games to play.

Not necessarily... If you have a very nice graphics card then it will look better on PC AND run better most likely... The 360 version only runs at 30fps, though it still looks excellent.

As to the original post, 360 version is better for online. It just has a larger community and it'sa lot more active and not buggy like the PC version. Really, Rainbow Six: Vegas isn't a good port for the PC... Single Player is fun, but Multi Player is a lot better on Xbox Live. I'd recommend getting it for the 360.
