Pros:
- Free
- PSN Games very unique,
- usually completely new games (not remakes or spin-offs)
- Works quite well
Cons:
- Lack of Major Retail games to purchase recently (more like burnout, warhawk, etc)
- Not all PSN games have demos (stupid move if you ask me)
- Sony doesn't secure us as many exclusive DLC's like microsoft, or maybe microsoft is just doing it way more than Sony (im looking at you, GTA IV)
- no cross game voice chat,
- no new avatars as of yet
I was previously wireless, got extremely slow download speeds off of linksys router with normal COX modem
then i got the apple time capsule router, with same cox modem got wayyyy better download speeds
then finally moved the router near the receiver system, plugged in ethernet and now get fantastic speeds.
WIRED is the way go mate
you know, with wireless, closer isn't necessarily better in fact i think CNET suggests, what like a 3-5 ft space?I just got wired earlier after I posted. don't see the difference because the router was like 2 ft away from my ps3

Wireless: with new Slim im just about as good as wired.k33k84are you suggesting the slim has some sort of faster wireless antenna? because i'm pretty sure that it doesn't make a difference at all between the big papa ps3 and the ps3 slim as far as wireless. think again
[QUOTE="Thesahandbfhf"]Exactly. and its not even that I think we're "falling behind", not at all. i'd simply appreciate some better, smarter content on the store and more effort to get full games. for instance, the whole dynamic themes thing arrives, and we get a pixeljunk monsters theme???? imagine an MGS4 or Uncharted theme. THAT would have been the smart way to handle it (not to mention bring in much more $$$ on Sony's part)ANIALATOR136and your worrying about dynamic themes on your store when they haven't even reached EU yet sorry bro :/ Its not fun hearing you guys are missin out over there. But yeah i never knew that sizes varied to such an extent. Still, I would be up for buying a game if it took up 20 gigs nonetheless, not because im trying to flaunt a big hard drive (i have the standard 80), but because i really only put demos and psn games on there, so i'd easily delete some old crap and redownload if i ever needed. But then, when you think about it, downloading a 20 gb game? it would take more than a few hours.
I think it has a lot to do with how lucrative it is. My friend came over last night and had no idea that you could even download games online. People just aren't well informed and I think DigiDownloads aren't selling as well as they'd hoped. Also, I think Storage is an issue. Uncharted uses a lot of the Bluray storage. Up to 25gigs. If you had a 60 gig you'd be half way done with your hard drive. Compression defeats the purpose of owning a PS3. PS3 is all about HD and HD audio. wow I never knew that. Are burnout and warhawk and wipeout a lot less then? I would run and check but I'm not near my ps3 at the moment[QUOTE="Thesahandbfhf"]
Its been rather saddening. I would much rather be buying games off of the PSN store simply because I know my money isn't going through gamestop and whatnot, and its easier right from home. Plus I don't even have to swap discs! But Sony hasn't been putting any high caliber games like Warhawk or Burnout on the store recently! Who wouldn't be glad to see "Need For Speed Shift" or "Uncharted" on the store? Personally I'd be buying a heck of a lot more often. Any idea why?
