First off, let me just say that before owning a PS3 i had a 360, which i traded in for the PS3. I was pretty casual with the 360, and one of the games I had was Project Gotham Racing3. I loved it because it was a racing game with real licensed cars, like Ferraris and Audi's, and it was very fun. Yes, it was a simulator kind of game (barely), but it was easy to pick up and hard to master. Perfect blend with good online and all.
So fast forward, I got a PS3.
Now, on the PS3, I've purchased 3 racing games so far,
WipEout HD (is an insanely exciting racing title, very fun to play and beautiful graphics.) Burnout Paradise (Great value very fun)
But I really wanted to have a great looking racer with REAL LICENSED CARS, so I bought GT5 Prologue yesterday, expecting a difficult simulator.
For me, it was way too difficult to the point where I couldn't enjoy flying around a turn or going head to head with an opponent at the end of the race (Even in an Audi TT the game was pretty slow). So basically my question is, where is the great racing game thats fun with REAL CARS?
GRID perhaps? I'd buy that game but I'm afraid it might be so old that the online community could be pretty much gone. What about Need for Speed Shift? Could that be what I'm looking for?
