what makes the Xbox One so compelling is that the box is a truly multi-purpose device, allowing users to jump from games to live or on-demand content with the press of a button. "Now, as I'm sitting there playing games, I can instantly go over and watch and see what the Mariner's score is or watch something on TV and vice versa,"
I can do that now. It's called pushing the input button. And I don't have to pay out 500 more dollars to do it.
Another not surprising reversal. I figured they would but I thought it wouldn't happen until after all the indie developers jumped ship first since they kept insisting how much they loved indie developers even though they were treating them like crap.
This is good for Indies though. Always good to try to get your game into as many markets as possible.
I always buy new anyway but I don't see why the game industry thinks that their industry should be treated differently than every other. Everything else I buy, I own and can sell it to whomever I want and the original seller gets nothing. If I buy a used car or book or whatever from a store or someone the original company gets nothing.
I just don't see why they think it should be different for them.
@Katra @Thisisstupid I do agree that adding greater detail and effects to the environment can enhance the experience but depending on how it's used, sometimes it ends up taking away from it.
There's truth to this but better graphics won't necessarily make it scarier. I mean, the mist in the Silent Hill was used because of limitations but not being able to see clearly probably made it scarier than it would have been.
I heard Sony's going to let them self-publish, set their own prices, and set their own release date. I heard it second-hand but if that's true I'm not really seeing how Microsoft doing none of that is being passionate about them.
Since I have no interest in the Ouya if a kickstarter were participating I'd be a lot less likely to give them money since I'd have to wait a half a year longer to get anything.
