Well recently I have been playing Metroid Prime 3 which is a trulymajestic game, visually, aurally and gameplay wise. The level design is seamless, organic and superb. The narrative is lacking, but the scanning does an excellent job of piecing together alien worlds and making them believeable. I have also been playing Hotel Dusk on DS, which again is artistically excellent with some quality writing. I prefer my games to make me think, Halo does not require that of the player. I do not think it is 'Halo' hate, I am voicing legitimate criticisms that have been touched upon by others (the folks over at Destructoid, for example). I want to see games evolve as an art form, we should not subjugate creativity for the sake of marketability.

Metriod Prime 3 and Hotel Dusk are original? The core design in hotel dusk goes back to 80's adventure games and MP3 was very similar to previous games in the series. To each his own but I don't consider those games to be good examples of originality. Nintendo is very aware of marketability and that's why they have used an already popular series with Metriod Prime rather then creating a new IP. It amazes me you think the developers were not concerned about marketability, especially Nintendo.

Halo 3 is a shamelessly populist game, it is generic and conservative in almost every aspect from character and level design, sound, art style and narrative. It is a rock solid game, make no mistake about that, but it leaves people like myself who crave something different, new and exciting, feeling disappointed. I don't know where all this 'Cow' nonense is coming from, I do not even own a Sony console since my PS2 broke two years ago.

Actually I'll cut the music a little slack, although it is sparse and non-existant much of the time.

Eh I was way more excited for this game before watching the combat. Environments look bad and the gameplay is like a bad shooter mashed with a turn based combat. I dunno I just expected something more. I'll give it a shot but I don't see it being too fun pausing every 2 seconds and reaiming.Lazy_Boy88

Well, of course difficulties make a game longer to pass, but that can apply to any game, try another answer.

Blue ray is needed for extra difficulty levels noob. Playing through the same levels with harder enemies takes up so much extra space and would only be possible with teh booray.

Even with them cutting out levels that will be in the PC version so it will run well on the PS3? Even without proper mods? even without everyone you play online using a ketboard and mouse? I'm really going to have to disagree with this one.
