Developers should have all their focus on making a good game. Not trying to figure out how to make something work. MS tries to make it as easy as possible to make games and sony does not. I think it's a waste of time for developers having to "figure out" hardware, when they should spend time on figuring out how to make a good game.
topps
I agree and I believe it's the main reason for the overall low quality of games on PS3. The ports are actually some of the better games on the system because the time and amount of money you have to spend compared to the sales return would be small for exclusives. If the PS3 was selling better the system being hard to develop for wouldn't be such a big issue because developer could spend the time and money needed to produce good games and get just rewards for their hard work.
In principle I still wouldn't agree with it because I feel developers should spend the majority of their time on the actual game. I'm surprised this game didn't turn out well, if you just use the single core on PS3 the PS3 isn't very hard to develop for and you would think this game would run on the core without the SPUs.
[QUOTE="TiberiusKane"]That's too bad for MGS4. One less game to buy wouldn't be a bad prospect considering my backlog.-PS360FTW-
thats too bad for MGS4?You wont affect its sales
Being released on the most expensive and slowest selling platform won't effect sales? I'm sure I won't be the only one not willing to buy a PS3 so I can play the only game worth buying on it.
