@Raizak That's brilliant actually. If we have more interesting games that don;t require violence, maybe kids will be more inclined to avoid playing with dad's sub-machine gun. Not the "household" one, the one for hunting of course.
You mean "young people" as in people that can't buy M rated games? I understand the argument that parents, despite their intentions, are losing control over what there children are exposed to. That, however, is a problem all on it's own. What happened to coming up with creative solutions to these social problems? Why are we letting aged bigot's make these decisions Don't we have an over-abundance of university graduates with degrees in psychology and/or social science that can actually do something NEW to solve this problem?
It's clear to me that a lot of us have a fondness for Star Wars. On the other hand, a lot of us have strong opinions on games we have not ever played.
The point of Lucasarts, waiting, and being alienated from our own franchise was so we could wait for the Star Wars game each one of us wanted. Because we all clearly wanted one. Don't hate on George Lucas because he's old, tired and wants to live in peace. Or because he has two first names. Don't hate on Disney for doing what was obviously Disney. Don't hate on me for telling you there is neutral ground and that an opinion on the extreme left or right makes you look biased and ignorant.
It's a sad day, we came close to some cool stuff and it was taken away without anyone having any say in the matter. There is a great disturbance in the force, it is our responsibility to bring balance to it. Or have you all forgotten? Jedi Knight source code was released today, lets get to work on the Star Wars games that we want to play.
