@sariee I have no disagreement with the video, though I'm sure you will criticise me for it regardless. A game is a game like he said, but then he said war wasn't a game, but he had already said that this was a game depicting war in a realistic and honorable manner.
There are video's of soldiers on duty in modern battlefields (sad that I can't just list one) that compare firefights to video games. I don't care if it's 1 million video's, or one. People don't understand what was engrained into my brain by my grandparents. War should never have happened, and never should happen. That is why my family fought, and died, and where never recovered.
I was going to say I feel bad for him, but WTF? I assume he worked with the foremost phycholigists and sociologists of the time to make this cool. Otherwise, really? You honestly think people will level up a character to take a swing at a cube every now and then? We can play Nintendo on our cell phones! What could be in the cube that is so interesting? Is it to just make people frustrated and teach them a lesson about patience and overspend...oh. Wait, no that can't be it.
Why wouldn't you just let people with more friends on facebook get better pickaxes or chisels or whatever? Or how about the redditors with the top posts? Question mark?
Dear Peter,
Start being more vague. No more "this is a revolution". Just better if you say "this probably isn't a revolution, but then again, you wouldn't know."
"we have yet to find any situations in which a person's account was not compromised through traditional means of someone else logging into their account through the use of their password."
While lying isn't illegal in most cases, it is obvious.
After my account got hacked I got a rather personal email about how if I had used an authenticator, I would have been fine. The particular game master said "I have personally never seen an account get hacked with an authenticator"...seriously, I have the screenshot of the ticket.
I did get service within 3 days though, so at least its quick...
@cjburnfist Isn't the authenticator free on cell phones? If thats the case then I don't think authenticator sales would necessarily drive this theory. Though Blizzard IS owned by activision now...
Seriously guys, the only way this would happen is if blizzard, the number one panderer of recurring game sales and game time cards had an interest in money.
I had re-installed windows a month prior, not downloaded a single torrent and used the authenticator. I was only level 32 at the time with only 60,000 gold.
Of course it is. Isn't Torchlight developed by the original developers of Diablo? Big-logo companies: stop firing creative directors and project managers. They cost more money for a reason.
