Makes sense. Just look at the guys of Gears of War. It's clear what audience this game aims at, and it screams of stereotypical steroid induced machoism.
A lead female role in this game, would be like making the next Sex and The City season focus on a guy. Doesn't go with the theme.

I do not blame Microsoft for expanding the scope of Xbox. Nintendo has done it with Wii, SONY has done it with PS2.
But I think the competition did it right, as opposed to what this grumpy old man says.
Microsoft, however, does exactly what he explained they do. They keep trying to expand and do more and more, add more services and pointless devices nobody asked for, meanwhile, the core product and it's services, become secondary and abused. It's very core, the pillars the console stands on, become weak and unattended.
Name me some good exclusives or core gaming related effortss Microsoft has given in the last couple of years? You won't find many.

Alot of the people you interact with, the missions you do, are overkill meant to symbolize the chaotic sandbox that is the world of GTA. The franchise may have taken a more serious approach, but at the end of the day, it's still GTA, stands for Grand Theft Auto.
We'll always remember you for your immense contribution in legendary classics such as Deus Ex, the Ultima series, Wing Commander and Thief.
