WiiU just needs to get on it's feet, it's weaker than PS4, alot, but it's capable of seeing this through with good games. Most likely SONY and Nintendo won't share the same games, so it won't be a power-output choice.
Again, you said it yourself, SONY has good 1st party and strong 3rd party. That's not bad.
And you're forgetting SONY is also now threatened by PC, which until the blooming of 2011 was largely accounted to be dead.
Besides, Microsoft and Apple aren't the only OSs. Just the most popular. There's always an alternative.
@BurningJC007 @MAD_AI Linux has become incredibly intuitive, simple to operate, and incredibly fast over the years, also the most secure system in existance ( Anti-Viruses are obsolete), mind Unix-like proprietary systems. And depending on which distribution you have, it's much prettier than a Mac.
The only issue for gamers is the DirectX, or more specifically, the Direct3D graphics library. It's Microsoft Proprietary.
An open system under a free license benefits everyone, code shared and improved by the community makes for a much better system, instead of waiting every 5 years for the incompetent fucks at Microsoft to churn out something worthwhile.
They gave enough detail to know they are not enforcing it and leacing to the publishers, by literally saying "This is a publisher decision".
What part of that is not comprehensible? Unless you are implying the are saying "This is the publisher's decision to make us enforce it on all games, not ours!"
