What is the point of debating with someone when you can't even decipher the crude code in which they post?

[QUOTE="junglist101"]

Sounds like the kid deserved it. That's the problem with the culture in the US these days. People get away with sh!t all the time because if you defend yourself YOUR the one who gets in trouble. If more people got their ass kicked for being a jerk I garantee you people would be nicer or think twice before hitting their teacher. Unfortunately, the law is on the side of the a-holes.

No, the law is on the side of "Please dont hurt anyone without reason to do so" "omg, you poked me with a stick, technically it's assault so now i get to curb stomp you til your life hangs by a thread" I dont think anyone would ever want self defense laws that allowed for overuse of force.

Punching a guy is assault- poking him with a stick is not. In a similar story from a few years back, a man breaks into an old woman's house and so she hits him with a baseball bat, shattering his kneecap. He won a settlement because he couldn't work with his broken knee. Stories like this make me hate the American justice system sometimes.

once at my school.

kid: "I'm leaving" (whiny humorous voice).

teacher: "sit down down george !!!"

kid: "I'm leaving", "I'm leaving"

teacher: " omg if you leave I'm going to ***** kill you".

kid" "alright I'm leaving now!" *leaves*

teacher: *grabs metal ruler and starts chasing him into the hall*, *attempts to basically behead the kid in a full on swing with both hands.*

kid: "aah!!!" (blood runs down his neck).

Oh boy the teacher was in trouble that day.

To be honest I'd probably do the same thing if I were a teacher. Probably why I never had an interest in teaching

Scummy imo but the land was sold to them, so the previous owners didn't really care what happened obviously.

Well yes. Your corpse rots and helps sustain other life after your life ends.

I don't get it- so if you bake a cake, how does that stop you from eating it?

[QUOTE="LJS9502_basic"][QUOTE="Tokugawa77"][QUOTE="LJS9502_basic"] We're at an impasse because you want to blame the victim....not the aggressor.

I thought it was obvious that I was blaming religious differences, not any individual.

You're blaming the victim. Either that or you really have no clue what is meant by religious war/actions. If you can call the Holocaust religious motivation than it's just as correct to use atheism for Stalin et al. I'd bet most of the people he killed were of a particular religion and he was wiping it out. Note...that is not my thesis...but it's how he applies his.

Don't tell me what I think. I am not blaming the victim- it's not like he chose to get beat up or whatever. It was the fact that he was not the same religion as his attacker, thus religious difference causes the problem. As for the Stalin reference, see my above response to the guy with the green profile picture (forgot his name) EDIT: I'll let you have the last word. Tired of this thread.
