... Uhm ... Wii fans are hyping this.

This is weird coming from you.

Are you trying to regain some sort of respect after hyping the most ridiculous and obscure games? I'm pretty sure you've hailed the game yourself as well.

hakanakumono

I am hyping it, I'm just surprised at the amount of hype it's getting considering it's a rail shooter.

Where were cows and lems hyping this? Please provide links.

Oh, and disaster looks like a disaster. This game will blow. It is not the wii's hardcore savior for the holidays.

goblaa

It looks like the best rail shooter I've ever seen. But, so what?

7.5 - 8.5 (if it's good)

I can't believe Lemmings and Cows are hyping Disaster Day of Crisis. It's an interactive movie rail shooter. You turn the key in the car with the Wii Mote, but do you actually drive the car? No that's another rail shooting sequence.

Disaster Day of Crisis is a game that innovates rail movement and I think it will score high but jeez guys it's not like the Wii hasn't had rail shooters before.

Let's get some terms straight right now.

Multidimensional- Something that is operating in more than one demension.

3D A.K.A. 3 Dimensional- Something operating on three planes of existence those being height, width, and length.

3D is Multi-Demensional so what are you trying to say?

Maybe that Dead Space is going to be one of the first games to incorporate manipulation of gravity.

agentfred

Yeah, I tried asking him what it meant, and once he told me, I had planned to explain that "multi-dimensional gravity physics" is the same thing as "gravity", only needlessly bloated with unnecessary words.

It didn't quite work out, because he just completely ignored me...

Games have had gravity since before Super Mario Bros. on the NES.

"Disaster" isn't just the title of the game - it's also a reference to the state of it's own sales.

Anyone remember No More Heroes? And this looks even worse than that.

nintendog66

No More Heroes was good. Remember Holly Summers?

My fav was Bad Girl. Bad Girl: "I need a drink, so F*cking thirsty, hold on a sec. Really why am I such an angry b*tch? Seriously no matter how many I kill, it's all the same. They're all gonna pay, yeah... with their f**cking lives." Travis: "You're no assassin, you're just a perverted maniac". BG: "In essence they're the same, don't go on thinking you're better than me, you think you're hot sh*t, who the f*ck do you think you are? Come on!" Pure Win:D. Though Holly's suicide was just badass.

Nothing beats working out how to do an instant 90o left turn on your bike. That bit of awesome gameplay made me not care how realistic Grand Theft Auto 4 was. Santa Destroy was more like the original Grand Theft Auto anyway.

Even the first boss fight blew me away, but they kept getting progressively more awesome. Perfect difficulty too, you pretty much have to do the side missions to level up otherwise you'll be repeating the same section.

[QUOTE="-Wheels-"]The first was Sega, in 1999 with Sonic Adventure.-Wheels-

That's nowhere near what I'm talking about lol.

Prey and Sonic Adventure where both part of the last generation of multidimentional physics. Super Mario Galaxy and Dead Space are current generation.

I'm saying is Dead Space the second current generation game that innovates multidimentional physics after Super Mario Galaxy.

Sonic Adventure 2 - Mad Space

Sorry, my bad, it was Sonic Adventure 2 in 2001 that did it. The physics are near identical to those found in Mario Galaxy, though not nearly as well executed. And shaders, polygons, and textures have nothing to do with physics just in case you don't know.

Those are just sticky surfaces.

Chronologically do you think Dead Space will be the second game that uses multi-dimensional gravity physics?
Obviously everyone on this forum knows Nintendo did it first but does that mean Dead Space is doing it second?

SolidTy

Uh, what about PREY, and even before that RATCHET AND CLANK?

RATCHET FTW.

Okay, so I guess were compiling a list. Any more to add?
