I fail to see what is so "punk" about these games. Is it the fancy clothes? The obsession with obtaining wealth and fame at any cost?

Is that what desperate casuals have resorted to defining as punk these days?

ZIMdoom

Uncharted Drakes Fortune was a Tomb Raider clone. Don't talk to me about casual you casual.

[QUOTE="Ninja-Hippo"]I liked no more heroes, but the concept of "punk games" is hilariously rediculous.Djmaster214

If Killzone and Halo are both hardcore then bring on the punk.

That is the such a dumb statement lol

and i agree with Jason Guy NMH was so buggy

How do I make correct statements? I missed the sticky thread about how not to be dumb on Gamespot.

Here it is... the game that started it all.

What a wonderful generation this is turning out to be. Hardcore has been met by a new genre of punk games.

Sorry I haven't learnt how to post screenshots. There's no sticky about how to post pictures.

Everything needs to be explained in a sticky.

[QUOTE="Tony-Harrison"][QUOTE="osan0"]

there not really similar TC. killzone is going for gritty realism. madworld looks like a comic book. not tryig to be realistic at all.

personally i prefer mad world...it stands out more imho.

argetlam00

Killzone looks like a shaded comic book. Realism is nowhere to be seen.

Gears actually looks more comic-book like than Killzone 2

Gears definitely has more colours though. It almost has as many as a Spectrum ZX80.

They don't look similar at all to me...argetlam00

That's because MadWorld is punk and your hardcore.

edit: Nevermind, I just saw the Fable sig. Your definitly more casual.
