Yes, it's almost that time of year again.
The Logies.
AKA - the worst award show on TV.
The Logies are a joke. Just one, huge, whooping joke.
The problem with The Logies is that it gets promoted as being Australia's choice. It isn't. To vote in The Logies you have to be a TV Week reader. (Or fork out how every much it is nowdays to buy a TV Week to get the voting form.)
Less than 10% of Australia buys TV Week on a regular basis. Of those who do most of them are 14 year old girls (Hence the fact that so many awards go to Neighbours or Home and Away stars).
That being said... I'll probably watch it (because I am that lame). Even if Nine/MSN have a totally monopoly over it, and most people in show business secretly hate them. At least their allowed to get drunk whilst they watch their lives flash before their eyes...
There's quite a few pay-TV show that have gotten in this year, which is interesting. Oh, and I hear MW's coming. That poor man.
Anway, on to who I want to win... (I hope the 14 year olds agree with me this year... *shakes fist*)
