All this talk about football and football which ever way. They are both boring and it is not ignorant either way they are both boring.B05T0N

Religion is boring.

I am not sure what that is all about.

It has to do with religion being boring...duh. Oh, and football isn't boring.

Religion has nothing to do with this topic, I dont see where it comes into this conversation about the superbowl.

Don't mind him flavourt. He's just upset because he's realised that no-one cares about his crappy padded, commercialised version of Rugby and tries to take it out on someone else.

Considering how many people watched it, it's safe to say people care. Do I care if Europeans like it? Not particularly.

Americans care. Maybe Canadians. That's about it. The core of your 700 million strong audience comes from the nation it was staged in. Congratulations.

Put it this way. Your least popular American sport (Hockey) is the World's second largest sport. That's how polarised the USA is with the rest of the world in regards to sport.

[QUOTE="Total-KO"]

Anyone who identifys themselves as a democrat or republican or any political position for that matter, is an idiot. Who decides their opinion about a situation before actually analysing the situation? It's ridiculous.

No-one in their right mind would say that they are conservative about war. There are some wars you'd feel we'd need to fight in (World War 2, War of 1812) and there's some wars you'd natually feel against (Vietnam, Iraq).

Naw. No smart person should be a democrat or republican. There's some stuff I'm liberal about and some stuff I'm conservative about. Crime? I'm Conservative. Sex? I'm Liberal. Sexy Crime? Well, it depends if we're talking nude tax fraud or mugging citizens with rubber dongs. Point is, being one or the other is just stupid.

This is exactly the problem with the American media and the American political system. You can't be a bit of both. The two party political system is harming America.B05T0N

Well that's a load of crap...People align themselves with a party, because the majority of their viewpoints are held by those of a particular party.

Not necessarily.

[QUOTE="Total-KO"Clearly no-one agrees with you.B05T0N

Clearly, the entire country does...

Clearly not, otherwise we'd have a succeful indoor football league and the MLS and USL would collapse.

But wait, what happened to NFL Europe? Oh yeah, that DID collapse.

I win. Bye bye now.

[QUOTE="edd678"]You didnt miss much. It was aired on BBC over here in England and my God watching it made me realise that American football is as boring as hell. Constant stop start, stop start.B05T0N

that's what we think about your football as well...

PROPER football isnt really stop start though.

Yes, but maybe two goals are scored an entire game...

That's just plain American ignorance right there. there's a reason why two thirds of the world watch the FIFA World cup where just 700 million watch the Superbowl ya know.

I'm ignorant because I dont find it particularly exciting to see maybe two goals and like five good shots an entire game?

It's ignorant that you think that football just has two goals in each game and five good shots...

I've watched my share of games. I fell asleep during the World Cup. I dont think I'm alone at all on this either. Sorry, but scoring and awesome defense isn't exactly prevalent in 'futbol'...

What do you mean it's not prevalent? It's the core of every game! You are just blind ignorant. If there is no scoring, then wouldn't it give rise to the fact that maybe there is a lot of awesome defending? Your post doesn't hold up..

What's the core of every game? I dont find the defense to be 'awesome'. I find indoor soccer to be much more enjoyable.

Clearly no-one agrees with you.

who are you going to watch more? the team from your country, or two teams from another country? come on think a little would ya?jimhogg

Where does that matter? I know that if I wanted to see such a great sporting occasion such as the Superbowl, then I'd watch it because of the hype surrounding it, regardless of country. Clearly the World just doesn't see it that way.

Boxing is making a big comeback. Especially in Britain. I like the hype suyrrounding this comeback so I'm gonna say Boxing. MMA is too wishy-washy.

umm maybe because it's the world cup?... football is only in America... there are only like 31 teams in the nfl...

There are 32 teams in the World Cup. What's your point?

but it's the World Cup... nfl is only America. the world cup has teams from every country so of course there's going to be more people watching..

The Superbowl is broadcast in over 190 countries.
