Because the 360 is easier to develop for so multiplatform developers have an easier time.
Exclusives on the other hand Sony is able to pump massive loads of money, time, and even offer up programmers to 1st party developers to get the most out of the ps3.
The power is there in the 360 RE5 and Gears of war 2 and3 prove that, Microsoft just doesn't pump time, money and programmers into their limited 1st party and 3rd party like Sony does.
PAL360
its fact that ps3 has better hardware xbox does al them things like 'pumping' money, gears was good looking but its still not as good as ps3 exclusivesIf that was true, then:
1 - Why only 2 or 3 PS3 exclusives do look sligtly better than Gears2?
2 - Why dont multiplats developped first on PS3 and then ported to 360 look better on PS3?
3 - Why does 360 have the best looking and performing version of RDR, one of the biggest and most complex games on consoles?
4 - Why only Sony first party devs say PS3 is more powerfull?
5 - Why do games like Rage and Gears3 look as good as the most impressive exclusives on the 'superior' console?
I understand earlier PC3 owners prefer to believe PS3 is everything Sony said so, but infact 360 and PS3 are closer than what they were supposed to be.
For simplicy's sake, I will answer 2 and 3....
2. Some games that are led developed on the PS3 do look better on the PS3.
3. RDR is using the same RAGE engine as GTA4. Back in 2007 that engine was giving Rockstar problems because back then no one knew how to program for the PS3. Most engines back then made little to no use of the SPE's of the Cell Processor. GTA4 was Sub HD, and consequently, so is RDR.
Bonus...#5...We don't know how Rage and Gears 3 actually look because no one has actually played them...no beta, no demo, no nothing. Lets wait for that before we start jumping to conclusions one way or the other.
