I don't know, I think it really depends on the situation and the reasoning. Plus, one of the reasons I love college is because if someone does treat you like crap, you don't have to take it, mostly.

[QUOTE="soulfood4"]Lol thats almost as long as the TC's post, im afraid to quote it bc it'll take up too much space.gameguy6700

I'll sum it up for you: In a timespan of less than one week I went from being more or less at the top of my game to watching everything I've been building for the past three years come crumbling down thanks to a freak string of unfortunate coincidences. Right now I'm living in accordance with my edited version of Murphy's Law: Even if something can't possibly go wrong, it will go wrong.

I'm worried about leaving the house tomorrow, I have a lot going on right now too and I'm afraid it will spread to the rest of my life and destroy everything else.

[QUOTE="soulfood4"][QUOTE="UnsaidWarning"] Please do. :( Its probably the same person that stole my brand new bike last semester... What is up with these people who destroy other people and you never even get the chance to see them!?TheChosenTurkey

This isnt system wars but all im saying is that you coulda prevented the system failure if you didnt have a 360...

Nah, I understand how people can claim that the 360 is a turd pie (Yum).

Someone stole your bike last semester? Dude, that's one l33t ownage curse man....

I bought myself a new bike for my birthday, owned it for less than 3 weeks, and when I was in class one day someone stole it on campus. And then I had to walk home. Before that I bought a car from a guy, it died before I could even drive it, and the guy wouldn't give me my money back, but theres a lot more to that. I've given up on all forms of transportation though, I just walk everywhere. Thinking about that bike still makes me sad though...

I feel for ya man, I know how you feel. One week ago I had my advisor telling me that as long as I stay on the track I'm on right now I should be able to pretty much pick and choose any grad school I want. A couple days after that though I find out that I accidentally missed my guided research class for the second time this semester (I was so caught up doing research in my lab that I forgot I had class) which means the highest grade I can make there is an A- (call me a crybaby, but grad schools take a really hard look at research classes. You don't want to get anything less than an A in them). I then catch a cold that time as well. Of course that of all weeks would be the one week I could not get sick because in the course of about 1.5 weeks starting then (and still going) I have the following due: An organic chemistry exam, an organic chemistry lab exam, an evolutionary biology exam, a presentation for evolutionary biology, a poster presentation for orgo lab, poster presentation for my research (science posters, btw, being far more intense and important than any stupid science fair poster you may have done for a class), and another presentation for my research in powerpoint format. Of those I bombed my orgo lab exam (it was a notebook based exam and you only get questions right if you can cite the answer from pages in your notebook. So it wasn't that I had no knowledge of the subject, it's just that I don't write down the trivial crap that the lab thinks I should), I bombed my orgo exam today, my poster presentation went well enough I suppose, though everything else is still waiting to be done (and I have no idea how I'm supposed to get all this done considering two presentations are those goddamned group probjects and one of said projects requires multiple meetings). As if that isn't enough stress I've got finals in two weeks, plus I may not be able to take the summer classes I really need to take because my family can't afford the tuition.

And to top it all off my $1,250 8 month old laptop died a few days ago. Didn't even give me a warning, the OS just froze up out of the blue and now it won't boot at all (safe mode won't boot, command prompt wont boot, recovery options won't boot, the thing is just plain out ****ing dead).

As an athiest the only thing that makes consider the possibility that God (or at least some omnipotent supernatural force) might exist is that it has been my personal observation that bad things tend to happen in the most magnificiently devistating ways possible. Really the best way to put it is that life is a joke (not necessarily a good one either) and that whoever is telling said joke has a really sick sense of humor.

That does blow...I'm sorry.

life moves on.nimatoad2000
It's not moving fast enough at this point. I'm usually pretty optimistic, at least recently, but this last semester has been complete SH*T. I'm trying not to think of it like that though, but it's starting to become difficult.

I felt like posting this because I think it's the only way for me not to go to extreme lengths to destroy the world.

This weekend my FFXI account was hacked for the second time, despite taking every measure possible to prevent it from happening. After being on hold for 4 hours while I tried to get customer support, all while the hackers was deleting and dropping my 6 years of playing items/cash, I finally managed to get my account back. Problem is he'd stripped naked, moved to another server, and can't get back unless I pay $30 bucks. On top of that the hacker charged me that same price for a transfer to the said server, on my CC number, and now I have to deal IN PERSON to dispute the charges because they were electronically done.

Heres the bad part, I can't get those 6 years back because SE only allows a one time GDR, which stands for Game Data Recovery, where they would basically load your character right before the compromise. Because they did it last time I was hacked (Which took a month where I was charged for playing) they won't allow it again, so basically have been telling me they can not do anything. For MMO players you know how devastating and how much time can be put into these games. Repeat, 6 years. So I waited on the phone, and on live chatroom today for 5 hours, got through, managed to haggle the guy into letting me talk to a supervisor, and right when I started to discuss got, strangely enough, disconnected. On purpose? Felt like it. So I waited in line again, and they closed before I got a rep to help me. So now I have to wait until MON because im at class all day tomorrow. Not to mention the reps were incredibly rude just like last time, and could care less about their customers.

Now I started playing my 360 tonight to relieve some of the stress of dealing with this awful company all weekend, and what happens? ERROR 74. Yes, that is right. Having gotten TWO RROD errors in the past year, I feared this when I heard about the recent influx of problems, only I should have figured it would happen now. It's only going to hurt more when my gamefly games arrive tomorrow in the mail.

This is all amidst some very annoying family and school and basic life troubles right now, but seeing as how my gaming is an escape from that, and now the two biggest aspects of my gaming have failed me at the worst possible time, I figure this week is not going to be on my side. I will still have some basic gaming needs fulfilled with my other systems, but right now I am feeling really unlucky. Tomorrow I will continue dealing with Square Enix, Microsoft, and my bank, which is going to have to re-issue my card for me. SE supposedly doesn't let disputes on accounts go lightly, so now I have to also get PERMISSION to do so/get re-imbursed by them.

I am a pretty calm person, and I consider myself the most sane of my insane family, but I think I may snap soon. Thanks for listening, its occupying my hands. I wrote more than I thought, guess I should blog this.

[QUOTE="UnsaidWarning"][QUOTE="AlphaRail"]Too late I already did...notice that some how the sun went away starting at around 8 30 pm EST, it may take longer for those who live on the west coast to see the effects, but the sun is really gone...srslySajedene
Oh wow, what method did you use? I can already see the effects.

Me too! That is some amazing stuff? Is this permanent?

Oh please let it be permanent. It's already starting to feel cooler.
