i've been playing the beta. So far, i have not seen one quest or interaction that involves multiple people. More like a MO to me. No multiplayer at all so far.
I just don't understand the time release period. It's not like it's a new game, those who have it, have it. What PC gamer in their right mind, would switch over to the 360 version. MSoft might get a few PS3 players, but i don't see any way MSoft would make serious cash by doing this exclusive. Why the hell would Beth even make this deal?..Money is the bottom line usually, but i don't see it this time.
Everyone complains about price of games, but in reality games have had the same price for nearly 30 yrs now. NES games were about 45-60 dollars. Special games even more. SMB3 was like $90 dollars new. Chrono trigger was about $80. Either way, i agree, instead of going after the used market, they need to fix how games are presented and sold to us.
" But the fact that this many consumers are eager to fork over money for a product before they can make a truly informed decision is troubling." -- I laughed at this, especially when the previous sentence states exactly why a person would preorder. Informed decision?? Like BS reviews?. I judge a game by playing it, period. Seriously though, why is this article even exist is beyond me. Preorders are so loose, to me, they simply mean "i'm thinking about checking this game out". It's so easy to get out of it, how could the industry use it as a benchmark on a "gaming popularity contest".
Well this isn't so much a gamer issue as it is current generation issue as a whole. As a 36 year old, i'm appalled and saddened at times what current generation of people feel they are "entitled" to. I think the internet as a whole has begun to retard peoples social etiquette in general. The problem lies much deeper than just gamers, IMO, it's a problem as a whole, and needs to be addressed. So, yes, Bioware should go after these kids and make a lesson out of them. There are some things people need to put their foot down and say enough is enough.
Now I'm not defending Sony, but I've never seen a website fap over the failings of a company like GSpot has done to Sony. This article itself says that it has written a bunch of articles about it. Couldn't GSpot just have one article and update as the events roll in. I understand Sony has screwed up, They seem to be fixing it fast as they can, even if for nothing more than a PR move. I mean crap happens, you can speculate all you want about Sony being properly being prepared for an attack like this, but that's all it is..speculative. I will wait and see the damage done from this and what Sony plans to do about it before I judge, i'd just hope that a well known gaming site would do the same.
