Well, my brother just bought me a 360. Ive wanted a ps3 but he does his research and knows the 360 is the better option now, I told him that ps3 will dominate later but he thinks of the now, not the future. Anyways, I guess now I can enjoy some great games like Mass Effect but will miss out on my most favorite franchise, MGS, and my second most favorite, Final Fantasy.

Im gonna turn into what I hate now, MGS4 to 360 pleasssssssssse.

Stop comparing the two games just because they are loosely in the same genre. Yes, you can compare Halo3 and CoD4 because they are both FPS but these games are completley different. Splinter cell is all about stealth while MGS is more about stealth/action.

Anyones I prefer MGS games greatly. Ive played splinter cell, and theyre too boring with stay in the shadow and stuff. MGS is a lot funner.

I wouldnt say I hate it but its not too appealing to me. If it was a short game, I would probably go ahead and complete it but from what Ive heard its like 50 hrs long, dont have time like that for a game I dont like too much.

Ive been playing it for a couple hours now and dont really like it much. How long is this game? Does it take a while to get into?

Do you really think that MGS4 will be a system-seller for a $600 console? Very few people in America have ever heard of Metal Gear, and yet Cows still call it a system seller.

Let me remind you that a game can only be a system seller when there is overwhelming media attention towards it. Metal Gear Solid games are notorious for being low on advertising. MGS4 won't change anything.

MGS4 is already getting featured in ps3 ads and it still isnt due for atleast 4-6 months. I think this game will be advertised like crazy.

Not bad. I'm sure there are other factors to consider, but I like your arguments.

One thing though is that you didn't provide details on how many consoles were sold when MGS1, 2, and 3 were released. Sounds to me like the games sold well, but I'd like to know how many consoles were already in homes before and after each game was released.

Only thing I found out is that MGS2 sold over 2 mill while the ps2 fanbase was still less than 10mill. Very broad I know, but thats all I got:(
