@Hey_Jay Both of my replies have addressed what you said. There is no shortage of people with unfounded intellectual pride such as yourself, so I will outline what I said in the simplest possible way.
In my original post, I advocated for DLC that develops the ending, which I, along with many others, hold to be continually poor. You are simply wrong, therefore, to say that no one wants to see further clarification without denying our existence.
If such DLC were to be released. it would mean that the current ending, weak as it may be, would remain the same, but that the events following it would be explored. Therefore. you are again simply incorrect in suggesting that this would in some way be fiddling with the ending, or 'hacking at the ending', as it would simply build on it with entirely new material, positively moving further along the timeline whilst leaving the events behind it intact. This may in turn provide the original ending with a greater meaning, but it would not alter it.
In summary, you seem to have been guilty of everything you just accused me of. In future I suggest that you take a more open minded, less aggressive and less self-righteous approach when entering discussions with others. I won't be replying to your next comment, as no doubt you will consider yourself correct provided that you have the last word, and will therefore persist regardless of what I might say.
@Hey_Jay All the Extended Cut did was flesh out an ending that remained irrefutably non-sensical, shallow and inconclusive. To extend the actual plot beyond this point in the form of DLC would be an entirely different matter, something you clearly don't grasp.
This reeks of EA's obsession with trying to appeal to what they perceive to be the lowest common denominator.
And why have they implemented an on-screen crosshair? It totally defeats the point of having no HUD, on of the features that made Dead Space so immersive.
The rolling is also totally unnecessary, but hey, Gears has it so they must too.
