[QUOTE="Vaizard34"]We're not in the 90's anymore. Video game consoles tout far more than their games alone these days. The fact of the matter is that the PS3 is technically a home entertainment device like all consoles these days. It's more than a mere console. Due to it's multiple functionality the PS3 will last longer than any console this gen. As a result it'll gain more sales due to staying power alone while the 360 and Wii will become obsolete. Well... the Wii is already obsolete and judgeing from the recent sales numbers people are beginning to catch on. In other words the Wii fad is fading. This is a PS360 war now. However, we all know that the PS3 will outlast the 360 due to all the things the PS3 can do. I really believe the PS3 can last ten or more years if Sony chooses to give it that much time. Remember this gen just started and the PS2 is chugging along going on it's 8th year. Yeah, the PS3 has got plenty of years to go and so does this gen. The Wii can last in a short sprint but it can't go the distance in a marathon like the PS3 or maybe even the 360. CrimzonTideOf course, but it's flat out stupid to ignore the fact that the games play a very large part in the selling of consoles...
I wasn't ignoring that fact. I was saying that it's flat out stupid to ignore the other factors that come into play when it comes to selling consoles.
