Iiiinteresting interview, actually something worthwhile to read.
I find it incredibly telling and melancholic that - if ME3's ending hadn't sent such convulsions through Bioware's fanbase (and devs, apparently) - Andromeda may not have ever come to fruition. It really sounds like the horror of CONTROL/DESTROY/SYNTHESIS (or blue/red/green for the veterans amongst us) is what spurred them on in a sort of repentant way to develop Andromeda.
We've all been there, in a way, haven't we? Waking up some Sunday morning with the Hangover from Hell.....again. The first few hours are spent beating your head against your bedroom's walls (or perhaps that's just what it feels like).....and then you seem to get spurred on by some unseen wave of catharsis. Then - you go full into Repent Mode. Housework gets done, yard gets mowed, house gets cleaned......all because of your misgivings the night before.
I like to think that's what went on at Bioware after ME3's ending. I wrote my own ending novel because of the horror of ME3's finale; and it seems to sound like Bioware did, too - with Andromeda. Mass Effect: Andromeda - Because Shepard Deserved Better.
@Lord_Sesshy: Exactly. That is why I don't understand this article or this quote. Surely we are to expect frame rate and resolution improvements across the board with Scorpio, regardless of whether we have a 4K TV or not?? Has he misrepresented what they're building??
@Suaron_x: I was thinking the exact same thing. Also - 4K gaming wasn't the only sellinng point for the Scorpio, was it?? Did I miss something? What about faster load times, faster install times, ability to run games at a solid 60FPS unfalteringly...????
@ryanthegeneral: Yeah.....I dunno man. I've AWAYS been interested in Horizon (girl gamer with a penchant for dinosaurs here), but Recore REALLY interested me. I only have an XBox One, so in order to play Horizon I'll be looking at another major investment......
Wellllll..............hmmm. I was really interested in this game from last year's E3 reveal etc. But this - this is some boring shooter with interspersed frustrating platforming sections. I thought you'd be out in the desert with your awesome robot companions doing cool stuff and the like. This is.....firing a gun and jumping around unnecessary platforms. Sad.
@the-games-masta: Yup. I have no idea what's limiting VR games graphics-wise......but good luck releasing a suite of games with visuals from the 1990s in this day and age.
