@sladakrobot: Yep - you called it. It's a stair-step strategy game at this point. I think possibly Sony are buoyed by the PS4's (admittedly brilliant) success.....and riding that wave led them to have the guts to announce the PSNeo......which allowed MS to see their hand. Poker face.
What IS interesting (IMO) is that Sony are taking a HUGE gamble by aligning their next console's architecture for VR - something that is as of yet unproven in both capability and popularity. This is almost identical to Microsoft's gambit on setting up the XBox One for Kinect usage and social/TV integration. Ultimately, that was the death of the popularity of their new console before it even came out - because they ignored the very bedrock of what they were making: a gaming console for gamers.
In the interests of competition, I hope that both the PSNeo and the Scorpio are a huge success.
@neowarrior793: So MS suck (in your opinion) because the original XBox One isn't powerful enough, and they suck (in your opinion) because they are designing what will be the most powerful console ever release?? Get a life.
Yes, because I 'ship for PC parts all the time. I imagine what it would be like if the Cooler and the Motherboard met on a dark night somewhere quiet......a little soft music playing.......
