Guild wars is a great MMO with no monthly fee. Altough the game and all it's expansions might get a littly pricey, and trust me if you start playing the original you feel compelled to get the expansions. Also like the title states it's about Guilds, so most of the best side of the game involves a group of friends. G12aat

Yeah, Guild Wars is a good MMO (though they don't count it as an MMO).

[QUOTE="Meska2"]i believe that this Kotor MMO could offer alot of different elements into a mmorpg.
in my opinion, i think that this MMO will do well, i mean.. look at biowares resume
game titles such as Mass Effect and Kotor 2. This team has a very unique strategy then of other teams.
I say, yay for a kotor mmo. they can still make single player Kotor 3, its all depends on story lines i guess.
can't wait : )thenewau25

Bioware only made Kotor 1 Kotor 2 was made by Obsidian.

damn thats why it aint as good as the first ?

Sorry for double post :P

Yeah, that's why. Obsidian hadn't done too bad though, but just missed the bar BioWare set.

I don't think the KOTOR universe is a good place for an MMO.True it's a SW universe but still.I think it shoud've been better as a SP game.Plus as a MMO it will cut out all the uniqueness of the story, and out chance to learn what happend to Revan and THe Exile.

wackys

I agree with the uniqueness of the story, and I admit, I would really like to know what happened to Revan and the Exile. Are they still alive? Where are they? and all that stuff. And I agree, I think it would've been best to be kept as a SP RPG rather than an MMO. However, I'm still curious as to how it comes out :)

Another WARvWoW thread, eh?

Well, yes of course raiding is long, but what did you expect? And the length of WoW's raids are short compared to CoH/V (City of Heroes/Villains) "Task Forces", which can take half a day (if you're in a bad group).

WoW is better at PvE whereas WAR is better at PvP.

Yeah, and Obsidion did poorly in my opinion. Or at least it was definately not as good as KotOR 1

I liked how Obsidian aproached the game,it's not like they're Bioware but still it was one of their first games, and now they have gotten better.I would prefer a Obsidian Kotor 3 against a Kotor MMO.

Yeah, Obsidian did well with the approach, but I still didn't like it. However, I would still like to see KotOR as an MMO, it has the potential to be one of the best...Just like SWG had, until SoE blew it.

MMO's for the competitvness, combat and character building.

RPG's for the story and roleplay...

In terms of just "gameplay" mmo by a mile .... most WRPG have incredible average gameplay..

People say the hunter class is the easiest but that is BS ... roll a pally and run retribution tree til you level to 70 then go tank or healer .. tank preferred right now as people need them ....

Pally has way less to look at and deal with in regards to icons and such ....

Pally tanks are loved big time right now ....

.... play a pally ....

The class that is the most fun however and many people feel overpowered is the warlock class. I love my warlock or well did until I stopped playing recently.

Warrior has to be the worst class ......

DeViLzzz

You do know that according to this list: http://www.mmorpgs.com/Kunzite/guide/guide.php?pageid=41 - Paladin is the worst solo class, and I agree. Paladins have too much down-time, where as warlocks, rogues and hunters do not.

Don't get me wrong, Paladins are fine at soloing, but they are pretty bad compared to the others.

I, believe hunter is best for start-offs, as their pets will take the damage for you, while you deal heavy damage with your bow, crossbow or gun. However, I started off with a druid, as feral druids are great at soloing.

Hmm...not sure. Theres a tie between some of the Warlock curses in WoW (Curse of Agony, Corruption, Siphon Life, Unstable Affliction and Curse of *something - that exploding one*). It's just funny cursing someone up, then watch them die while you just stand there cursing someone else :P.
