I don't think there is really such a thing as a "best" year in gaming. All my favorite video games came out different years and all years have made amazing accomplishments. Also every year has had totally sucky games.

Yes, there are two types of guards in the shivering isles. The Dark seducers and golden saints and regardless of the level they will give you a tough time (REAL tough) so I suggest you don't pick a fight or start any trouble. They know magic as well as weapons and have good armor so be warned, if you are new to oblivion be careful. BTW all enemies level up as you do so the difficulty will be same for most of the game, you are not going to wander into an area you can't handle (oblivion is not that type of game). Just enjoy and stop worrying.:) They will put up a good fight whether you are a level 11 or a level 55.
i was just playing it and the green light went from the top left to the top right and it kept going back and forth like that. i only had a wired controller plugged in and no other wireless things were on, and nothing poped up either.
what just happened, is it something bad?

Mine has done that to me countless times too. I can't tell you what exactly it is but I can say that I wouldn't worry, mine runs perfectly and it has happened a lot.

They are equally horrible, what we do today that is considered ok won't be a long time from now. 100-500 years is not that much time for an ignorant species like us to grow. Back then what they were doing was normal, we will be the same as them. Considered stupid/barbaric by people in years to come. Humanity is stupid and barbaric, and always will be. We wage wars on our own damn race, where's the point in that? Greed for money and power will never goa way, and therefore we will be barbaric and stupid until the day we are wiped out.I am not saying we won't always be stupid, just that we will evolve and there will be new things we consider ok and the things we once considered right will be disgusting.
