@crunchb3rry @jesuschristmonk Again, I'm not arguing the justification for charging for Xbox Live Gold. The service is over-priced. Despite how well maintained it is, because the reason I mentioned above, it's over-priced for everybody because I'd be surprised if 1 person on Earth actually utilized every functional app on their Xbox 360 on a day to day basis. Hell, even a week to week basis. The fact we're paying for this broad spectrum of applications we'll never use, which is included in Microsoft's justification of it's current price of Xbox Live, is why it's not worth it to anybody. They should think about less cost effective methods with a wider degree of subscription options. They don't need to go free, but there current Silver/Gold is outdated and overpriced for everybody.
@jesuschristmonk You see, this is where you're wrong. You don't just pay for Live so you can play online. Whether you like it or not, you pay for a plethora of applications you'll never even delve into.
@Vodoo I see, I guess I just feel as if the distance between the two aren't that great. I find PSN as easy to navigate as XBL. Though things aren't quite as neat, it's still a nice setting.
@Vodoo Alright, the beginning is a mess. The last part is nice though. PSN has come a long way since release. Xbox Live has too. Remember the folder? That used to be the Dashboard, now it's accessed through a button as a quick options menu. Playstation beat Xbox in sales, despite it having a year to make up. If Xbox continues to raise prices, which, history dictates it will repeat itself, then they're going to fall flat. So while your idea at the bottom is great, insinuating PSN is horrible, is just irresponsible. Give credit where credit is due.
