@Upat3am Wasn't really talking about him personally, but the episode as a whole. The last episode was just an overload of negativity from him and the comments featured in it.
I understand where his frustration came from, and I'm not pointing the finger or taking sides. Video games are my hobby, and I come to sites like GameSpot not to partake in ranting, listening to fanboy wars, or GameSpot vs the Community if you will, but to gather as much information as possible because video games are one of the things I enjoy in the world. So, for a video to be completely centered around negativity, which Feedbackula was beginning to become, I welcome this change of direction moving forward.
I was hesitant to watch this episode as last week's was probably the worst I had seen, but I'm definitely glad I did. The new direction of Feedbackula seems quite obvious, and I'm happy to see the amount of balance in the video. Less obnoxious troll's, and some positives to add to the negatives. I also found this episode to be more insightful and informational than others. Keep up the good work, GameSpot!
@northArrow Not all violence is physical. I'm not asking you to coddle someones feelings, either. I believe honesty goes a long way, and if people can't deal with honest criticism they're going to have trouble dealing with people in life and on the internet.
I disagree about people being allowed to express their opinions, however vile they are. I think racism, sexism, and all other hate crimes that condemn others shouldn't be allowed to be openly expressed on this site. GameSpot has a very diverse community, and that type of behavior shouldn't be tolerated here.
@everlast219 Agreed. As I have said before I tried opening up a discussion about the review and all of my comments were deleted. I think all portions of a review should be up for discussion, and if they're not they shouldn't be included in the review.
@LastD Agreed, but their are definitely lines that are crossed. If I was Carolyn I'd laugh it off and put more of my personal beliefs in my articles, but that's just the type of person I am. Everybody is different, and everybody has different barriers and sensitivities they don't like outsiders to cross. That is why more people should approach things from a more humble perspective and be more respectful to strangers you come across.
@realguitarhero5 A lot of people spend too much time gaming... I'm almost hesitant to say that on a gaming site, but oh well... and this causes them to have deep personal feelings for their hobby because it's a large part of their life.
