Everyone, STOP. It's not going to cost $1000. This is an estimate, and a very bad one at that. And OP, did you just decide to ignore the other two threads that were talking about this very thing? It's not like they were buried in the back or anything.

I just saw the gamestop price and I am definitely not getting a psp2. For the price they are asking you could buy a wii, ps3, 360, ds, psp, and a hdtv. That price is crazy. Hopefully it is not that price but if it is sony just shoot themselves in the foot.

I think Sony did learn its lesson. They tried something more portable and smaller with the Go, and it failed. The PSP2 is supposed to be like having the experience of a console on the go, and it seems it would do fine in that aspect.

They just showed it capable of running MGS4. Enough said for graphical abilities. And the conference isn't over yet.

We'll see, though this will be easily worth $400 imo. And PSP2 (NGP?) game prices haven't been announced (unless you've travelled to the future and back again), so don't be too sure on that.
