Seems cool, but does anyone know if you need to play the parasite eve games to know what's going on? I am interesed in the game, but I don't want to have to track those games down to enjoy the 3rd birthday.

I haven`t read much on it, but I have read that you`d be fine not playing the other two PE games.

Personally I didn't care for it. The gameplay and character progression is pretty bad. The story is alright but it's just another average Nojima story which more plot holes to the FFVII story line.

Gameplay and character progression bad? Story alright? Average? Sure it was, and Superman 64 was the best game EVER.

It was pretty awesome. Characters were pretty likeable and the story was really engrossing. As someone who never played FF7, the ending totally caught me off guard. This game can get pretty emotional at times. Gameplay wise it was really good as well, kinda a mix of action and turn-based. There`s a pretty deep customization feature here where you can basically create your own moves, attacks, magic, and even equipment. The graphics in this game are amazing, and the CGI cutscenes even more so. The only downside is the side missions can get repetitive.

I say $10 well spent. Enjoy this gem OP.

I haven`t looked into it too much yet, but I`ll pick it after reading some reviews and comments once it`s out. Definitely seems interesting.

OMG, you will be blown away by this game.

Gameplay is your regular hack and slash with chracter specific skills involved. You get a bunch of chracters that you choose 3 of to create your party (which you can change at any time), and you basically go around this huge map fighting monsters, killing bosses, searching for treasure, while being able to switch on the fly between your party members. It`s nonstop action.

To summarize: Fantastic gameplay, awesome bosses, superb characters, great story, and ear-gasmic music. And you get 30 hours of this in a playthrough (assuming you do sidequests and all).

That`s just a sign of how epic this is going to be. You can feel the tension building as they approach.

i just got a pspgo recently and love it, i have no regrets about buying it but not putting certain games on psn is absolutley stupid

I agree completely. If it`s any consolation, I didn`t enjoy what little I played of Kindom Hearts. The camera is just too funky at times.

Now if you want a great action RPG, YS 7 has you covered. This game will become a classic amongst fans. The music alone is enough for you to get the game.

I`m fine with that. And just so you know, I`m getting a 3DS and a PSP2. They`re both great gaming devices.

Edit: with letting it go that is, not the 599 price, lol.

4. I didnt express my preference there, as i simply said 3D could be used in a game for visual and gameplay purposes, which means people would stay interested longer, simply because games will come out that will use it in unique ways.

While i dont see how this could be possible with an OLED screen, if you find a way, i would love to hear. Unless they add motion and touch controls to the console, i dont see how bending the screen would have an effect on the game.

1. You should learn the difference between prference and fact. The 3D in 3DS WILL cause greater stress to your eyes than not using it. OLED screens are becoming cheaper and are more battery efficient.

I seriously think you have some sort of misconception on how this 3D thing is gonna work. There`s no way you can interact with it! I feel like slapping someone. Valkyria Chronicles looked beautiful in hd on the ps3, and they gave us VC2 for psp. It makes me sad to see that VC3 went to PSP too, I just don't get the same feeling watching the tiny screen of the psp, also it feels like this came out way too soon. They better not milk too much now.

I feel you, but as a person who mainly plays on their PSP, I was delighted by it`s announcement.

Anyways, the way things are looking, VC3 will be the real deal (though I very much enjoyed VC2).

The way you titled this topic made me think it was announced or something.

Anyways, there`s been nothing on a PSN release. It might happen, but I wouldn`t hold my breath for it. If SqareEnix wanted to release this on PSN, releasing it at the same time as the UMD version would`ve been ideal.
