Little Big Planet and Modnation Racers. I enjoyed both games quite a bit.

1. typical fanboy response, uses his "preference" as argument. Yet you probably havent even tried any of them.
2. thats not even an argument, ignorant or just clueless?
3. Being able to turn it off is nintendos way of making it suitable to you.
4. And OLED wont have their attention for long either. The difference is that the 3D can be used cleverly in games, and therefor it will probably hold the consumers attention for longer then an OLED screen.

1. That`s right. Not wanting to cause unnecessary stress to my eyes while wanting a screen that`s more efficient and cheaper is definetely fanboyism.
2. lol, you really think that every major series is moving to the 3DS? I don`t even know what to say to something so stupid.
3. Yes, it is, as most people would probably find it suitable to turn it off within the first hour.

[QUOTE="ZIVX"]1. They are both gimmicks
2. About every major game series is coming to the 3DS.
3. The 3D is adjustable to fit your needs since everyone has different preferences.
4. The chances of someone buying a 3DS and not using 3D is almost zero.

1. Except I will enjoy one while the other will cause me stress.
2. You wish.
3. Being able to turn it off is Nintendos way of preventing lawsuits
4. Yeah, they`ll turn it on to check it`s working. 1 hour later, they`re either gonna put the 3DS down or turn off the 3D.
Lol at number 3
No Nintendo put in that option because, as Iwata has said "everyone has their sweet spot." Also, some parts of games and other games arent going to look good in 3D, no need to waste power if the game being played doesnt look good in 3D.
Though it was meant more as a joke, if it didn`t have an off feature, you just know that someone would sue for eye damage. And again the amount of time 3D would be used will be much less than the time it won`t be. This isn`t something revolutionary. There is a reason why companies that use 3D stuff prefer to go with the glasses. Sure they may be inconvenient, but becoming cross-eyed can be even more so.
For a product that is meant for portability, and thus many will use it outside, an OLED screen is terrible. They are far too reflective.

Anti-reflective Coatings. Problem solved.

lol, the irony of people calling the OLED screen a gimmick and the 3D one not.
I`d much rather have an improved widescreen for real games than to strain my eyes within half an hours for some 3D effects. An OLED screen is actually an improvement, while a 3D screen will simply remain unused by the majority.

Awesome, next to Type-0 and Trails in the Sky, this is the game I`m looking forward to the most.
I`m not exactly sure what you mean by jagged, but those games look good on my PSP, so I guess yeah, they do look better on a small screen. Just to be on the safe side, you might want to go to a store where you can try out the PSP for yourself.
Anyways, all things aside, buying a PSP is a great purchase imo.
I`m half and half on this. One side of we wants them like it was crack. The other side of me says they`re useless and would probably make me plays games I would have long finished otherwise (in a bad way).
Either way, I`d want on there, as I can easily ignore them if I decide I don`t like it.
Maybe it's just me, but these days gaming companies really need to get the product right the first time...I'm tired of seeing all these intermediary systems...sure, a new design is great and all, but there's been four versions of the DS (original, lite, DSi, DSiXL), and likewise, four of the PSP (1000, 2000, 3000, Go)...that's a little too much. One redesign is all we need, if we need it.Microsoft doesn't redesign their consoles (I'd say Elite counted here, but it's really just a black 360 that they test a bit more), and Nintendo hasn't redesigned any of their home consoles (to my knowledge not at least in the States, then again, they could have an alternate reality machine that tells them what would happen if they made these revisions, of course, this would be after they sacrificed a gaming virgin to their statues of demonified Bowsers, Kirbies, and Yoshis)...so why has there been such a drive to redesign handheld gaming consoles?
I just want this new PSP to be right the first time...no extra models, nadda. I may love my Go, but if it took them three models beforehand to change the design to the PSP Go's look...I'm not entirely sure they should have released the 1000 and 2000 (and perhaps even the 3000) outside of beta testing. It's nothing short of infuriating to find out that certain models are more capable than others, especially when you bought a system at start-up, only to see someone with the new super-mega-awesome-deluxe-edition-that-makes-you-immune to-herpes-and-AIDs because he simply decided to buy it later.
MacSexy
I feel that the Go is different enough from the 3000 to not be a considered a revision, and as you said one revision (the 3000) is fine after a couple of years. The only one I felt was unnecessary was the 2000. So Sony hasn`t done that badly in this aspect imo. And both Microsoft and Nintendo have redesigned their console numerous times.
On a side note, my PSP-1000 is still as awesome as it ever was, even after the release of 2000, 3000, and the Go.
[QUOTE="unknown96"]Hopefully the PSP2 will bring new stuff to the table regarding processing power and graphics.I have owned both psp (twice ) and have a ds now. I think that psp is overlooked because it doesent bring anything really new to the table. The ds had touch screen, the wii motion censor and now 3ds capability without the need for glasses, these are all big things. Sorry if i myself am overlooking some features of the psp but nintendo will always have the most systems sold :S
CaptainAhab13
I`d say the PSP has already brought a lot of new stuff to the table. I`ve never seen a portable with such awesome graphics and games, or with an analog stick. If you say that isn`t new, then you might as well say the PS3 hasn`t brought snything new over either. The DS touchscreen was alright, but more of a gimick. The 3D aspect of the 3DS is even more gimmicky. I`ll eventually get one since it backwards compatible, but I doubt the 3D would impress me enough to endure the strain it`ll cause my eyes.
Anyways, I`d much rather have improvements than gimmicks I probably wouldn`t use.
