all you do is fun.

Lava_Lord

I don't know, that sounds... fun.

Anyways, you don't just run around in the game. However, it's true that Silent Hill: SM relies more on atmosphere than gameplay. Watch some videos, if you like what you see, you'll probably like it, especially if you have a set of headphones.

I was about to mention Infected too. Can't remember if it was a shooter though, it's been a while.

Resistance Retribution is also pretty good. Though it's not zombies, it's close enough imo.

Lord of Arcana that's coming out this Tuesday looks pretty sick. It's basically an action RPG where you try to take out huge monster and whatnot. Try the demo, I think you can test out the ad-hoc multiplayer with it.

I guess I 6th it. I do agree that expectations of the PSP2 compared to the 3DS is pretty high, and if it's anything like what the PSp and DS are now, I'm definitely going for the PSP2

Anyways, this would probably be better posted in the System Wars category, as it'll probably be locked here.

Final Fantasy Type-O looks like it could end up being a PSP 2 launch title. Yep I am looking forward to it

Megavideogamer

Considering it's releasing in Japan this summer, and that it has been stated it would have 2 UMDs, I highly doubt that,

Anyways, the better question is who's NOT looking forward to this game. Seriously, this game's gonna be AMAZING (way better than Monster Hunter). Anyone with a PSP is probably gonna get this game

BC means backwards compatible (amongst other things).

I doubt they'd put more emphasis on the media centre as opposed to the gaming system. I mean, I expect an awesome video player with more format support and actually a GOOD browser, but I don't think that would take away from the gaming portion. As for it having a phone component (doubt it'll have one, as that would kinda make the PSP phone redundant to gamers), either bluetooth or nothing is what I expect.

2011 might not stack up against the release in Japan (does it ever stack up though? I think they get everything we do), but it's still awesome nonetheless. A lot of releases have been squeezed into Q1, and if a couple of the bigger games can make it before the ned of Q4, This year may be just as awesome as the last. Here's a quick rundown of the games coming out this year off the top of my head

Prinny 2: Dawn of Operation Panties, Dood! (already out)

Lord of Arcana

Ys I & II Chronicles

Gods Eater Burst

Phantom Brave: Heroes of the Hermuda Triangle

Patapon 3

Dissidia Duodecim: Final Fantasy

Jikandia: The Timeless Land

Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together

Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky

and I'm hoping these ones will make it here this year as well

Valkyria Chronicles III

Final Fantasy Type-0 (HELL YEAH! This is gonna be awesome!)

Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky Second Chapter

Monster Hunter Portable 3rd

Cladun 2

Tales of the Last Promise

Black Rock Shooter: The Game

The last three haven't had a localization announcement yet, but there's a good chance there will be.

I was wondering whether it was worth buying a PSP 3000 now, or just waiting for the PSP2. I play RPGs and shooters almost exclusively, would this be a good system for me?

CaptainAhab13

Personally, I think it's been worth it for a while now. Anyways, if you like JRPGs, DEFINITELY. As for shooters, there are a couple of good ones, but not too many to warrant a purchase (although some say Peace Walker alone is worth it, it's just that I'm not a particular fan of shooters).

I'm not sure if you've already solved this issue, but if you haven't, have you tried connecting the charger without the battery in there? It's worth a shot, as I've read some weird stuff can happen to the battery (though I'm not saying you did anything to it).
