It's a FPS, kb/mouse all the way to pwn. If you want to be lazy or chill on the couch, gamepad.

On easy GRAW can be run through like a shooter. GRAW needs to be played on hard to force you to slow down, plan, think, move, setup, etc.

Also, I would skip GRAW1, it was buggy and glitchy, mostly in the AI. GRAW2 is great fun and pretty tight however.

So anyone play this? Its $10 in USA, worth it? Plus there are several others for download too; Rapture Metro and Kill'em Kindly, what are these about or worth?

[QUOTE="millerlight89"]Yes, it gets much better. Sadly, The Witcher 2 just got worse, and worse. James161324

This, witcher 2 was so fun at first, then it just went down hill.

Yup. Heck, even starting out, TW2's is already worse due to its crap console based design.

Far as TW1, it starts out slow and kind of dull. But the story picks up and when you start getting some abilities gameplay becomes great fun.

Served my time during Quakeworld. Can't get into it anymore though, my reflexes have really diminished.

Hundred of hours into QW. What I want is Quake SP in a modern engine. Love me some butt ripping zombies.

Currently about half done with BS2. I find many of the audio tapes just a useless bunch of double talk babble not adding anything to the game story. Overall though, this is a fun game after you remove the craptastic low fov.

Do enjoy the rich environment and setting, so nice to play something non-military.

How do you fix the fov? It's stopping me from playing the game and I haven't found a good solution yet.

You'll need to edit the user.ini file in appdata/roaming (in Vista64 anyway) and bind the fov command to a key like this...

F11=SetFOV 40
F12=SetFOV 110

You need to hit F12 after a ingame video or after exiting a Vita Chamber.

110 is what I normally use. I sometimes use the 40 to briefly zoom in on something far away.

My biggest gripe about Metro is the lack of a user save feature. You die, and you wind up sometimes having to repeat a lot of skirmishes you did before. Lame.topsemag55

Yeah, no save anywhere ruined it for me too. Being totally linear was bad too.

Basically, it wasn't Stalker. I love all the Stalker games and Metro did not measure up, except in graphics.

Fascinating setting, and I applaud the approach in combat. However it became tiring rather quickly.drinkerofjuice

Yeah, I didn't realize there is a demo so I just played that for 30 min and I'm already tired of the 'arenas between hallway' type gameplay. Rather shallow game but potential is there. Think I'll wait for Rock of Ages and see how that turns out.

Well, no not really. Plenty of variety out there. Stalker is not equal to Bioshock which is not equal to BC2.
