If females are oppressed by a predominantly-male industry, it's only logical for them to unite and make their own industry based on their own perceptions of how pop culture should look, most countries give the freedom to do that.
Feminist logic? Females must attempt to influence the consumer base, create barriers and build walls of censorship under the guise of "misogyny", "racism", and "oppression"... there is NOTHING oppressive about a good looking female, which seems to be the argument most used for female characters.

The thing is, gamers aren't against nor hate graphics by any stretch. It is when graphics override and minimize gameplay that's killing the entire point of this industry. I guess we'll just have to see for ourselves if the announced titles in E3 are as good as they look, and I'm being hopeful.
@colt_a @sireltonjohn Well, if you want honesty, not long ago, GameSpot was just a mouthpiece of big publishers. They seem to have finally reflected on that, as evident by articles critical of the big players in the industry.
Trust me, it wasn't just Brendan, t entire company was always anti-consumer, gaming-companies apologetics, not too long ago. I guess they finally woke to side with gamers, and while I can't say it'll stay forever, I can certainly welcome the change with open arms.
Brendan's performance these last two months is just amazing all-around. We need more objective journalists in this industry.
He's right, E3 can no longer give repercussions for non-participants, news and marketing are now more streamlined and accessible. Just look at gaming magazines, last one I bought was years ago.

An integral part of PlayStation is its superior hardware and constant mission in bringing an all-around console, for everyone, which really showed back in the PS2 era.
I don't mind them focusing more on shooters (even though they already do: Killzone, Resistance, MAG) to make a profit and a better image, given they don't betray their traditional ways.
I see the PS3 as a horrible shadow of its parent, and it's all Sony's fault. I mean, it takes a real genius to blow the momentum they had in 2009.
The principled gamer in me says this is a really horrible title... but the self-indulgent and materialist gamer in me says this a totally awesome title.
