@Vherion PC users can't even buy used games to begin with... and on-disc DLC is just a way to describe the method on consoles, since full games are usually in disc, it's not a practice limited to consoles you know. Publishers can lock content in digital distributions just as easy.

I love these new pieces by Brenden that voices our concerns as gamers, I truly appreciate it. GameSpot is slowly coming back to its former glory as a powerful journalistic bastion for the gamer! :)

The solution is easy: don't buy the game. I sure as hell won't. By the way, am I the only one disgusted that they'd use the Spyro franchise in such a way? Sigh, I miss you, Insomniac, and Naughty Dog. :(
