I am actually shocked here. Why not put FF13 on 360 in Japan as well.

I mean with FF 13 and those other exclusive JRPGs , the 360 was bound to get some kind of spark in Japan. hmmmm.....jg4xchamp

Even if it sells 10,000 copies, if it's already made on the 360 (Europe/NA version) and you can just copy the script from the PS3 Japanese version, why the hell not?

It would probably cost close to no money to release it in Japan, there is a 600,000 user base for a game I am sure many of those people would love to buy.

Meh, the combat system is pretty fun in those games, probably the most "fun" of all JRPGs.

Ill probably buy Vesperia and whatever else they throw on the PSP/DS.

Nothing's budging the 360 in Japan

It's like releasing a game for the Sega Saturn there

Wel.... I think every single X360 owner in Japan got Halo 3, that was in the top 10 over there at a point.

They could release DQ9 on the Sega Saturn and people would buy the system, for that game

But the sales would be severely limited, and would be very very temporary

no real growth or additional developer interest

The major problem with the 360 in Japan is the fact that many of it's best games never come out in Japan.

There are a **** ton more Japanese games localized to the USA/Europe than the other way around ALOT more.

Am I the only one who remembers the previews of Starcraft that described it as "Warcraft in space" in a derogatory manner? Does anyone remember how that turned out?Shafftehr

Yea, but Warcraft was a good game:lol:

Probably the nicest thing about most multi-plats is that 360 has much faster load times. That's a major reason I would get a 360 version over the PS3 version.

its not at e3 because remedy isn't showing up for e3.LibertySaint

Nobody is talking about the fall 2009 lineup, it just wouldn't make sense. The only 2009 game we know about are coming out in early 2009.

Patience people! Alan Wake is a sure deal, Microsoft has alot of faith in it.

It doesn't matter in Linear games, it would really suck for games like GTA4.

I think the 360 probably limited what they could do in that game by a large margin.

[QUOTE="piercetruth34"]It has all the same perks and roleplaying elements of the original. It actually seems like they added a lot and it will be a lot more immersive. What did the originals have that this doesn't from an rpg perspective? foxhound_fox

The ability to choose whether or not you want to fight, flee or solve the problem while being non-combative. In Fallout 3, Bethesda has admitted that the player will be forced to fight in certain situations.

And graphics aren't the sole thing that makes a game immersive. Mostly it is the quality of writing and character/world development that makes a game truly immersive.

I agree, nothing Bathesda has ever done has shown me that they have decent writers, their games were never about the characters and dialogue, which was a big part of what made Fallout what it is.

Ive noticed alot of Japanese developers are in a way "giving up" on Japan and focusing on the European and North American market now.

People just aren't buying games like they used to in Japan.
