3 New gameplay vids at IGN! Showcases alot of polish since we last saw the game. Hit detection and FPS issues have been fixed. Still 2 months for the last touches! The gunplay and hand to hand combat is really coming along great.

BEST ANIMATIONS EVER??? I THINK SO!

Honesty I don't see any game that comes close to these animations (besides Killzone 2). For me Gears was the best looking console game until this year. And if you disagree you have no eyes. For people who say Gears will not be dethroned as graphics king look at Unreal Tournament 3 and Uncharted as heavy contenders this year.

Yeah except that Bioshock has already surpassed gears. Also Call of Duty 4 looks better than Uncharted and Killzone 2. Realistic graphics are much more difficult than washed out Killzone 2.Before you get mad I would put Killzone 2 right up there with the games I mentioned.

Close but no Cigar. Her name was Fortune and actually Ocelot put something on her that made the bullets do that, so she would think she was "Lucky". Then after he took it from her and shot her she deflected a full Arsenal gear onslaught for real. Que thestandard action movie one liner by Snake "Looks like she really was lucky after all" or something of that nature. So it turns out she really did have those powers. Also right after that Liquid took over Ocelots boday because he had been dormant in his arm all that time. Not fantasy?I don't Know what world you are living in, but stuff like that does not happen in Arizona where I live..

Need Help. With Plasmids.

Do you have to buy the early version of Plasmids to get the the better versions. Ex. The 1st version of enrage is not thatgood in my opinion, but I would really like to try out the later coupleversions.

That sounds like a deal breaker to me. With a remark like that I'm surprised it even got a 9.0. A FPS with lame combat must have some very nice redeeming qualities elsewhere to get a 9.0. I'll defintely rent it though,when M$ finally gets around to releasing the 65nm processors, and I can purchase a reliable 360.

i just think its hilarious that the GS review is very much different than ign, 1 up and gamespy (the other big online sites). If you read them, they even say you can blow through the game using the most powerful plasmids and be fine but thats not where the ingenuity is in this game. The other sites realized this. I guess Jeff doesnt really care. Plus the fact that no other site mentioned these mysterious hiccups and glitches. Doesnt add up.

The glitches and hiccups did not happen untill late into the game. Maybe some of the other sites did not finish the game before they posted their review. Some sites post their reviews so quickly that you have to question how much of the game did they really play.

Why would they not be able to finish the game. They have had it for over a weekor more4hrsx 5 days = 20 hrs. I mean if Toys R US could sell copies wednesday last week, then the reviewers definitly had their copies.

Bioshock is probably on of the most atmospheric, engagin, and innovative games to come along in a while, but even THAT only just got a 9. what does that leave for games like brawl, mass effect, assassins creed, halo 3 etc?

If you ask me, i think we'll be seeing a lot more 8.5's now. i mean they're just gonna give 9's out to every big name game? It seems to me like 9.5 is the new 9.7

Yeah no kidding they did not have to talk about 08', because they actually have amazing games coming out in 07'.

Bioshock, Half Life-Orange box, Guitar Hero 3 and Mass effect. These are just the AAA titles. These will keep me busy until 09'.
