The system doesn't matter; the engine does. The engine obviously runs equally on both high end PCs and PS3s and is designed to do so. Anything that will slow down on PS3 will most likely slow down on PC (maybe not in 1-2 years, but for now) and I'm sure there's a limit on texture sizes and other things built into the engine as there is with most games. Open-ended or not it doesn't matter because unreal engines use .UTMod (or maybe .UT?) files to install mods and all you'd have to do it put it on a flash drive and plug it in the ps3. The engine will be abe to read the file all the same (obviously some adjustments were made).
I always thought FarCry was a boring and generic game with mediocre gunplay. I never thought it deserved more than an 8.5 and Crysis honestly might disappoint (me) as well. We'll see how it turns out but I don't see them putting in a very deep involving storyline which, imo, makes and breaks FPS games. This is seen with Half-Life, Halo, and Bioshock; the best FPS games are the ones with engrossing story driven gameplay.
It's short and a bit easy but it's definitely worthwhile. I loved the characters and anybody that enjoyed ffvii/dragon quest will enjoy the game as well. I'd probably give it closer to a 7.5-8.0 but it's still a worthwhile investment and a damn good psp game.
