It doesn't have to do with being poor. I'm not poor either, I live very comfortably, it's jsut the idea that this seems really greedy of them and it's a trend that has started to pick up steam.15$ is well worth the price of the maps. 3$ per map isn't that much. I'm not poor or a MW2 hater so this is a must buy.

Music games and RTS games. Absolutely zero desire to play those.
Heavy Barrel. I loved this arcade game when I was young but after seeing it again recently...let's just say the magic was gone. Kind of makes me sad.
Heard it's $15
Hokusai
It's true. Straight from Infinity Ward's Community Manager via XBox Live's Major Nelson's weekly podcast.
Zero dollars. Won't be changing anytime soon either.
Don't like it? Don't buy them. Simple as that.Dark__LinkWow... A simply stunning response. The point wasn't whether or not I like it. I play video games, obviously I like it. It's just the point that the DLC and attached cost is getting rediculous. I'd rather they work on something new or a great sequel than to spend all that effort milking one game until it's a dried husk of its former self.
So did you hear? The five new MW2 maps (3 new and 2 old) is going to cost 1,200 MS points. Fifteen dollars?? Seriously?? I guess earning over $1,000,000,000 (that's one BILLION dollars) wasn't enough. I'm thinking of organizing a revolt. That is absolutely rediculous.
Then you have games like Dragon Age Origins and Madden NFL10. The former had a built in character whose sole purpose was to sell you some DLC and the latter had all kinds of things on the XBox Live Marketplace within 48 hours of hitting store shelves. Things that should have been in the game to begin with no less!
Where does it end? It's cool if the DLC is substantial and offers something truly extra and exciting like Borderlands DLC. $10 for some really good add-ons (minus Madd Moxxi of course) that adds a lot of content. Or let's not forget Burnout Paradise that gave up tons of DLC for the unheard of price of FREE!! I just hate it when games charge for day one DLC, leave things out of the game just so they can charge for them later, or, in this most recent case, just outright overcharge for something that should cost a third of what it does. Surely I can't be the only one noticing this disturbing trend. How much are we going to let them squeeze out of us? It's very frustrating!
I know this is just one post by one person and doesn't even equal a grain of sand on the near endless beach that is the internet but something...somewhere...at sometime...has to give. My pocketbook can't take much more.
Comments?
Ditto on Ultimate Alliance 2. I also agree with the sequel thing. When a new IP comes out a lots of people take their time and see what everyone else is saying about the game. When a sequel to a good game comes out people already have their expectation set high so it's easier to be disappointed.
I really enjoyed District 9.
[QUOTE="Vundi"][QUOTE="lightleggy"] the place they sailed to is called "valinor" in the first movie, you see that frodo arrives to rivendel, and there are hardly any elves there. this is because most of the elves moved to valinor because it was safer there. at the end of the movie, frodo and bilbo go there because they were allowed to! and they would obviously not deny itlightleggyOh! So they didn't go to die...just to live out their lives and maybe find a little peace? I guess that makes sense. Thanks for being actually being helpful and not just posting to tell me what I should do! :) lol np, the answer could be summed to "would you deny an invitation to live in heaven?" Yeah, I'd probably go too. :) Thanks again man.
