If you, like me, have been putting off seeing these movies for some reason, the following may spoil some things for you. You've been warned. :)

Firstly, I've never seen the Lord of the Ring movies before now. TNT played all three of them this weekend so I set my DVR to record them. Having just finished watching the final movie, I'm confused about the ending. I may have missed the relavence of the ship sailing off in to the sunset somewhere but does that mean they all died or something? And why did Frodo have to go with them all? Are all the elves dead? The whole last 10 minutes or so lost me.

I hope someone here can explain it all.

the place they sailed to is called "valinor" in the first movie, you see that frodo arrives to rivendel, and there are hardly any elves there. this is because most of the elves moved to valinor because it was safer there. at the end of the movie, frodo and bilbo go there because they were allowed to! and they would obviously not deny it

Oh! So they didn't go to die...just to live out their lives and maybe find a little peace? I guess that makes sense. Thanks for being actually being helpful and not just posting to tell me what I should do! :)

I did watch all the movies. I already erased them though. I doubt I'd watch them again anyways. Just looking for some clarification.

Auburn is the way to go :D

To each their own I suppose. I'm inclined to agree with flordeceres though. The world needs a bit more color sometimes. :)

Thanks. I'm going back to being blonde again though.

Stick with the red hair. Blondes are so...typical.

I do wish there were more redheads in my school/neighbourhood.

Yup. The world needs more redheads.

So I was over at www.penny-arcade.comand Gabe was saying how he'd like to have seen the ability to take cover in MW2. I'm not so sure I agree with this. Cover can be a great addition to the right game but I think it would make it feel like more of a tactical shooter a la Rainbow Six. More methodical...less intense. I'm having a great time with the game so far and I'm not trying to pick it apart, just kind of wondering what the general gaming community thinks of this idea.

Opinions? Comments?

6.5 weeks at basic military training at Lackland.XIntoTheBlue
6 1/2 weeks and Lackland AFB. Air Force, huh? Try 11 weeks at Ft. Knox, KY for BCT. Haha! That was a rough time.
