I agree. Totoally depends on the game. Either way, assuming you had free reign of the game terrain and not be controlled by someone in the real world, all anyone could do was make the best of it.

Trying to beat the game would work too. Maybe if you did that you'd get free. :)

I never really thought about it until I read what you just wrote. Of course I have fond memories of playing older games but I just attributed it to nostalgia. After readin the points you made, it's all become a bit more clear. As much fun as I have playing games today, can't really compare to the way thing used to be.

Great post!

I saw that on the news the other day. It has 2160 calories. What message are they sending here& Eat a super-duper fattie burger, then go sit in front of your computer for hours and let it all turn to lard!! No thank you.

If only it would come with a copy of W7 :P

I think they came together as a combo with a large Coke. :)

I don't get the whole d-pad thing. Maybe I don't play enough game where the d-pad is crucial to gameplay but I think it's fine the way it is.

Like everyone pretty much said, the info on the cart itself should last a good long time but the battery that most old carts use will die out sooner or later. However, if you know the where and how you can buy the stuff to replace them. I believed they used to sell Game-bit battery tool kits for just this reason but since discs have take over the gaming industry, I haven't seen them around. I imagine you can still pick up all the things you need to do it yourself though.

yeah in kingdom hearts 3 lets get mickey in a symbiote outfit

that would be awesome

Never! If I see Venom in the next Kingdom Hearts game getting his butt kicked by Goofy there will be strongly worded letter in Disney's future!!

Well if it's that dork Mac Gargan, no one will care. In the comics, Venom has been rendered obsolete. Even Spider-Man himself said it in an issue of ASM, "A loser wearing the Venom symbiote is still a loser".

True. Venom does blow now. How about Sabretooth then? He's still awesome...except for the whole being dead thing after Wolverine cut his head off. Has he come back to life yet? Either way, a dead, rotting, headless Sabretooth could still kick a magic wielding Goofy's ass!

Recently, I've been playing a lot of different first person shooters lately (Cod 4, Cod WaW, Halo 3, Killzone 2. etc.) and I've noticed the tactics and gameplay styles of people who play online seem rather unrealistic. What I want to know is, if someone gave 18 different FPS gamers high velocity Airsoft Guns orPaintball Markers and split them up into teams, how would they do? What would they do? How would those quick relfexes and exellent hand-to-eye coordiation translate to a real battle field? What would happen?

Ok, coming from someone who HAS real combat experience, I'd venture to say they wouldn't last long. Most video game tactics hinge on the fact that you can take a few rounds before you die or just respawn if you get taken out. In real combat all it takes is one bullet to ruin your entire gameplan. Not saying that there aren't some solid foundations in some of the tactis online gamers use but in real life combat those tactis just don't fly. Hell, the Army won't even stick around to shoot it out unless you get positive ID on your target and you out number the enemy at least 3 to 1. Any less than that and you hightail it to the rear. These games are getting more realistic and they're a blast to play but it takes more than quick fingers to really get down and dirty.
