1. blu-ray= more details and information can be stored on disc than the other consoles, and its a cheaper alternative than buying a decent blu-ray outright

besides if you say its overpriced and sony has failed to justify its price then why did you buy it in the first place? therefore not their fault but yours.

I didnt buy it because i'm smarter than that. You guys realize the tech that is actually in these machines does not cost these companies what you think it does. A processor is a processor and is no more expensive to make than another one. The reason these companies inflate the price is because its a money maker. 2 years from now that same chip will cost $5 on ebay. Computer hardware is disposable for the most part and companies know this. The people who think the technology in the ps3 is that much more expensive to manufacture than anything else are kidding themselves.

I had both a ps3 and 360. Ultimately they cost the same. The 360 premium is 299 plus xbox live, charge kit. Or the elite its the same price. I kept hte 360 because it plays a majority of games better, has a better controller, online service and justified the pricetag moreso imo. I could care less about bluray. I want the best game console and the 360 is that. yes the 360 is also overpriced and they nickel and dime you. microsoft is just as bad but at least from a marketing perspective they are smart. they also do a better job justifying the pricetag.

I agree xbox live is overpriced and a joke. I shouldn't have to pay for that. So is the ps3. Take a minivan for example. You have a family and 4 kids. You have a choice between buying a minivan or one of those huge suvs with multiple rows. i cant think of the name of it. But functionally a minivan does the same thing for half the price. The ps3 like i was saying doesnt do anything more than a 360 does. It looks shinier. As far a car you are out on the road and paying for a nice looking car. But the ps3 is actually not doing anything better than the 360 is. The 360 actually plays multiplats and most games better. It also has some very nice looking exclusives and as far as games its arguable. The 360 actually has better games and more of them imo... If the ps3 actually were better and had much beter graphics and gameplay id say otherwise but it doesnt. Thats the point and why its overpriced. I owned a ps3 and a 360 and i actually prefer the 360 and it plays a majority of games better. This is why the ps3 is overpriced. They aren't justifying the price to the consumer. If it actually played games better than yeah but it doesn't.

Yes xbox live is overpriced. The ps3 offers it for free and it does the same things pretty much. Live offers additional things that justify it somewhat but most of that stuff isnt really necessary.

At least xbox live offers a lot of different stuff. i dont think it justifies the price. The ps3 doesnt even really offer that much different and it could be argued the 360 has more games and better games and plays games better. the ps3 is overpriced.

They are charging too much for it considering how many people are buying it. The only reason they won't drop the price is because they made a mistake and they are losing money and milking every dollar they can out of it and are trying to minimumalize their losses.

In a recession nonetheless. It's shiny. It has all these things like bluray that aren't really necessary. Most multiplats suffer becuase not many peope own it and developers are more inclined to develop for more traditional architecture. You are paying $400 for what a handful of games? It's not like MGSIV, Killzone, Resistance, LBP and Infamous are that good and i can't get enjoyment out of games i can't play on the ps3 jsut as much if not moreso.... I can understand them charging what they do because it costs them so much to make the thing but that's their own fault and not the consumers fault. Sony's marketing really laid an egg this gen imo and released a high tech console that noone needs.

Fallout 3 is number 1. GTAIV is close behind. Infamous is good but kind of overrated by ps3 fanboys imo......
