Uncharted will be a great game no doubt. But it's basically a fairly linear tombraider, mgs clone. It's nothing overly revolutionary. It's main draw is it's a graphics showpiece. From a technical standpoint it's awesome. I can't say otherwise. But sony is still missing something as far as revolutionary games and gameplay. Cows keep saying how the ps3 is so much better and things are only possible on the ps3, then why am I able to play games that are just as good if not better and do the same things on my 360?

Why does a gm have to be revolutionary to be praised?? Many lemmings praise gms like that too whats ur point? Uncharted got solid reviews

praise uncharted 2. all you want. i agree it's a great game. it's one reason to get a ps3 right now. I just was saying i don't think it really justifies the means of saying it's better than anything else out there. Because it's not.

mD-

Can you mention a game that is hyped right now that actually is revolutionary?

DING DING DING WE HAVE A WINNER

Well that's why i think Sony is in a weird spot and coming at this from a weird angle. They keep saying things can only be done on ps3. Only on playstation. We are going to charge you more because oour system is the most revolutionary. The reality is the economy sucks and most of this stuff is not that different. So why are people going to pay more? Sony is in last place and not really in position to be talking like they are the market leader. Because they aren't. They haven't done anything revolutionary yet. They've actually lost their two biggest franchises MGS and FF to the 360 which are now cross platform this cycle and are trying to get people on board with new exclusives. Is Uncharted any beter than mgs? Not really. It's a similar game that does similar things in a different environment. Not that that is a bad thing, but it's not like it's nothing we've seen before. I thought the same thing in 2006. And in 2009 I was thinking the same thing watching their conference. You are charging me what for what? It just seems like they are blowing smoke up my butt to me. At $600 and no games it was a joke. At $400 and some games it's ok. At $300 and a lot of games it will be worth it. Then cows can start talking because it will be awesome. But right now it's not that good. It's getting closer. Give it a year. Because none of these games are that different.

I think microsoft did the best marketing job. From a conference standpoint Sony's conference was kind of bad actually. The games look good though so it's not dead, bnut their conference left alot to be desired. I ultimately think gamers win, although sony imo still didn't break away from that niche market. I dont think they showed anything taht's going to put it over the top any time soon. This E3 was a win for gamers imo though. EVery console had something to offer. But from a conference standpoint microsoft did the best job.

Sony coming out with 3 or 4 games a year doesn't do it for me. I might buy 1 or 2 of those games. Why would I want one? The 360 has more exclusives, more multiplats, better multiplats, better online features, a better controller. Why would I want a ps3?

KingTuttle

This is how you can tell someone's a fanboy. more MULTIplats? How is that so? Please explain to me? Regardless it's the perfect time to own both the 360 and the Ps3.

There are more PC/360 multiplats...thats how.

Exactly. Yes this is how to tell if someone is a fanboy. The guy who responded to me is one. What I said is true.

Everyone wants every system and would definitely get them all if they could... I personally can't afford to own all the system and at the same time enjoy them all...my budget doesn't allow for it. So I chose what would work for me over the long term (the PS3)... but I still want the Wii and the 360...they're great systems...I just have to say no to myself... I believe that anyone in this boards who will deny wanting any particular gaming consol is just living in denial to be honest.verbalfilth

I'll also get one once it drops it's price and the library of games justifies it. It still doesn't imo. 6 months to a year from now i probably will want one. But buying one now and watching it collect dust while i wait for games doesn't do a whole lot for me. I honestly dont want one right now. I probably will eventually. Saying i won't is probably denial. But right now I have more than enough games on the 360 and coming where i reall yhave no interest in purchasing one.

Just to correct you, in System Wars, multi-platform titles have never counted on exclusive comparison lists. It doesn't matter if it's only on 360/PC, or PC/PS3 or even PS3/360. There's no such thing as exclusive if a title is on multiple platforms.

It's not been made up recently, it's been around for a long time, and in fact, the only reason it seems to be talked about much here, is Lemmings wanting to get some extra titles to pad their lists.

Stop trying to reinvent System Wars because it suits your console of choice.

jonnyt61

I made a post yesterday that wasn't an exclusive list. It was a list of games not on playstation. not on 360 and vice versa. It was still corrected. Maybe cows should stop trying to reinvent the wheel. That's what i'm saying. I listed games as multiplats and they were still taken off the list like they didn't count. They do count. I didn't list them as exclusive. I listed them as games that aren't available on the other system. MY only point is cows have taken this exclusive thing to another level at this point where suddenly multiplat games dont count at all.

I have been lurking here but wan't going to post for this exact thing. I have never heard of a forum that is allowed to pretend like games don't exist. I see people posting that no one buys systems for Multiplats? Uh I and most of my friends got 360's for Mass Effect, Gears 1 etc... when I decided to purchase a console these games were not on PS3 so obviously they DO matter. Seems like the rules were setup to favor PS3 owners becuase really if you count games that are on 360 and not on PS3 then, oh I see it wouldn't really be fair to PS3 owners. That's rediculous to have a forum where games can be overlooked to help PS3 owners feel better about themselves. Guess I'll stay in Off Topic Gamma_crush

I agree. The thing is though it isn't a rule. That's the point even though cows will like you to think it is. It's the biggest farce on system wars. I just thought I'd point out the hypocrisy that are cows. what's funny is they don't even have more exclusives that's the thing. Even though they'd like you to think that as well.
