Alright, I decided to start one part of my top games of 08!:D Here how I am going to set this. I am going to do handhelds right now, while console/PC will come late Dec/early Jan. Both list will have 5 games each. The Handheld list are the PSP and DS games.
So then, before I do this, I am going to say, that not only this was a great year for handhelds, it was much better then last year IMO. The games I choose are all amazing games. Some were games that I was excited for already, while others were a surprise to me. This was kinda hard to choose, but here is my top 5 handheld games of 08 in...

#5. Bangai-O Spirits(DS):
Treasure usually make very fun games, and Bangai-O Spirits is one of those games. Not only is it really fun, it has tons of levels to go through, which are from small to big, and easy to hard. It also has a great level creator that you can even share them to others. Treasure does it again.
#4. Patapon(PSP):
What is a interesting game. It put the RTS gameplay with some rhythm twists in it, and it turns out to be something that unique. With that and it nice art s.tyle it makes this game a gem for the PSP. Plus it at bargain price (and it was like that at the start), so it was a steal IMO.
#3. Professor Layton(DS):
This was a game that I hardly care about before the time it came out, but decided to get it the day it came out along with the blue DSL, and I made a good decsion. It has many puzzles that are very impressive and some were tricky too. It also has a amazing art s.tyle, which nice cutscenes. And what surprise me was how good the story was. It may look like a very simple look for something thing, but it gets more interesting, as more mysteries come in, and ending nicely. Now then I hope the next one will come to NA, because I am ready for more Professor Layton.:D
#2. The World Ends With You(DS):
TWEWY was another game that I hardly care about, but then it turn out to be my favorite DS game for a little while. First off it a original game from SE. Not like I hate FF, KH, or DQ, but it would be nice to have something new or something, and TWEWY is that kind of thing. The gameplay is something that probably is only can work for the DS. It a wacky, but very fun type, once you get past the learning curve that is. Story is great, with some interesting plot twists, and this game shine on the art design too. Myabe SE could make TWEWY 2.:P
And now here is my pick on #1 handheld game of 08. And it is:

Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia(DS)
It started out as a rumor with three pictures, I was getting excited. Then it was confirm to be real, and I was excited for it even more. When it came out, I was still thinking that it probably won't be better then Dawn of Sorrow, but boy was I wrong. It turn to be better than DoS and replace TWEWY as my favorite DS game. I was a tad worry about the glyph system, but I really like it. It has more depth in it than DoS's soul system IMO. The game was harder then the other two DS CV games which was a plus, and it didn't get too frustrating. The soundtrack is awesome of course, and for a castlevania game, the story was pretty good. Then after you beat the game you can play as albus, who is really fun to play as. This game is a must have, and the best handheld game this year.
Well that is that. I probably should have been a bit more detailed, but this was kinda hard for me. Anyway well now I need to get ready for making up the top 5 for console/PC, through I need to get through my Math exam first.>_>
Well I am now probably like 2 1/2 to 3 hours into Persona 4. And I have to say, that so far, it so awesome. First off the story is very interesting so far, and I like the characters so far, especially Yosuke. He so funny lol. The voice acting is pretty good, and the music is so catchy (can't stop listening to them:P). For the core gameplay which I finally did get to that part, well I guess I need to play it more and get used to it, because I can tell it more then a turn based system, but I don't what to really say about it, beside that it fine so far, through the rush thing with the triangle button is a little annoying, because I click the button by accident and it kinda mess up my tactics at times lol. The only real problem I have so far, was the pace for the first two hours. It was slow, because the first two hours were mostly talking. Thankfully the story was interesting so it wasn't a big deal to me, but it may be to some. The pace will pick up once you get to the first dungeon. Anyway overall I am enjoying it.:)
Now then the other thing I am going to mention is that I decided to do some awards. I am going to do two top five games of 08. One for Console/PC and one for Handhelds. I could do the handhelds top 5 soon, however I won't be able to do Console/PC top 5 yet because I need to play World Tour Wii and Prince of Persia before I do, so that one may come in Jan. I will probably do my impression on how 2008 was in terms of gaming (not going to give impressions on the 360, or PS3). Well that it for now.
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT!:D
Yes I got it.:) Going to be playing it in a few minutes. I am so excited for this.:) And lucky for me I have a late start day tomorrow, so I going to have some time for tomorrow morning also. Now then I going to stop talking and play it lol.:P I will give my first impression tomorrow.
Well I been playing the beta today. So here are my first impression:
First off since it a closed beta there is bound to be a lot of problems. Lucky I haven't met any major bugs or glitches so far, through I been disconnected a couple of times and have to wait a little before going back on, but that probably because the people are fixing some of the problems. Anyway on to gameplay and stuff. So this game is the first MMO I have play (Guild Wars isn't really one sorta), so this is kinda new to me. The characters moves really slow, through I think many MMO and Guild Wars are like that also, so I just need to get used to it. The game can get chaotic when there a big battle between players/w their demons and enemies, but it pretty fun to get into. I been only using melee weapons but you can also get guns, which I am going to try the gun I got later tonight
Speaking of demons I do have one, which is a fairy type. It pretty much act like a ally, and it also levels up. It actually kinda hard to get a demon. You need to greet it or even threaten it lol. They can join you, but they can also either attack, run away, or just give you a item. Not a big deal, through it can get a little frustrating. Another funny thing is that there are usually lines under the ally's name, that could say like it being slave by "the player" or even say looking to betray the player (lol).
Graphically it doesn't look bad. It look a SMT game of course, and it does have some nice blooming effects. Anyway I going to play more tonight. Once I know how to take a picture, I post a picture of my character.
Edit: Alright I am done for tonight. I try out the gun I got and it not bad. You will need to buy bullets and then equip them in order to use guns. And the disconnected problems are starting to get annoying. I been playing this beta for probably 1 to 1 1/2 hours and I got disconnected like 4-5 times. I notice a good amount of people on the the forums (SMT online site) complaining about it also.
The Closed Beta for Shin Megami Tensei: Imagine Online from aeriagames!:D I can't believe it lol, but I can't wait to try this out. I am just downloading now so I can play it. For those who don't know, SMT: Imagine is a MMO game that is set in the Shin Megami Tensei universe. It came out in Japan like a year ago, but it now coming to NA probably sometime early next year. Yesterday a guy that work at a Wal Mart was trampled to death by a out of control mob of shoppers when the store he work at open.
This... this is just horrible. Despite me getting a good deal yesterday, I really hate Black Friday now because of this. No one should die like that. And hardly anyone tried to help him. There are even some pictures of the crowd, which was huge. RIP to that guy. There were some other bad events too, like two people were shot in one store.
