Yet another person i know is giving up on PS3 because he loves Skyrim so much and was very angry to discover how Sony allocated the ram in the PS3 hardware.

Once he saw how smoothly Skyrim ran on my 360, he said he had enough, as soon as he could afford it he was trading up his PS3 for the 360 to play Skyrim and other multiplat games much smoother.

Sad fact for Sony fans but true.

I'll stick with Sony for the exclusives and the fact that I don't play online multiplayer. I'm exclusively single player. Well, since my 60GB died last night, I don't play at all.

Seriously though, I got my PS3 in February of 2007 and didn't sign up for PSN until October of this year.

I dunno, man. The music industry is dying. It's definitely nothing like it used to be. I haven't purchased music in years, but it doesn't help that new music sucks.

I'm done with console gaming if Microsoft is my only option. I find their business practices to be less than consumer friendly.

The game saves are lost as is the disc inside the system. Sorry...unless you backed them up they are gone forever. My 60GB died on me as well so I feel your pain. Bread_or_Decide

I got the disk out of it, and it will power back on briefly after I've let it sit for a while. The dashboard is very slow and it fails again after a minute or two. I might try the hairdryer trick I've found on a couple of forums to try to get it running long enough to backup my game saves. Otherwise, I'm SOL. I really don't want to put back all of that time into a New Vegas and Skyrim, which are the only ones I haven't finished.
