exactly my thought.... a great deal of games = not all games..... which translates to uncharted & MGSIV look much better but being a Geow fan i will still post that its the best looking game :)

No, you do not get it. Gears of War looks better than Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, but it's not kicking its ass, it's almost a contest which ends in a tie.

It's still kicking a great deal of 360's games asses as well. It was ahead of it's time, but it's just not the best anymore.

I know - Crysis is much better. However, I think that Killzone 2's graphics are overrated - the game does not look to be a game which we've never seen. Its graphics are dull, but Gears of War 2's graphics will rock.

Stop trying to impose your opinion as fact. I'm going to go with what GS said over an obviously biased and contradictory lemming. I agree that GeOW is an awesome looking game...but it has been dethroned. Get over it.

I do not think so. Quit bashing Gears of War for being old. And stop thinking that Gears of War 2's graphics will be 'slightly' better than the first one's.

No it doesn't. Where the heck have you been? Have you played both on an HDTV? And please don't compare graphics on textures alone. I have both games.

MGS4 is more impressive. Period. Play it and see for yourself. It's an amazing trechnial achievement for consoles in 2008 like gears 1 was in 2006. Lighting, animations, art direction, character models, blur, and particle/post processing effects are all better. Considering how much bigger the gameplay map/ areas are then textures are better as well.

To say Gears 1 looks more realistic is like saying an apple is a vegetable. It's just not true.

I agree with the above... and not just because am an MGS fan but cause its clear and obvious MGSIV is better overall..

also (hoping this wont offend anyone), lemmings bash PS3 for its small/poor library, yet when it comes to graphical comparisons they bring out Geow1 which is a 2006 title... doesnt that put a bad light on the 360 since it means that graphically had nothing more to offer throughout 2007 & 2008???

I think games like Bioshock & Mass Effect look great, not on Uncharted / MGSIV level but imo look better than Geow1... strange though how multiplats are the ones that look better on xbox360...

Kz2 has really nice weapon modals, but the rest of the game doesn't seem that great(from the pics I've seen), especially some of the envirorment textures.m2twkisfun
