This is quite simply the best gaming system ever conceived and I'm not some random fan boy saying that. I do a lot of gaming on PCs and the fact of the matter is this, PC gaming only works when you know a bit about PCs and have an endless amount of cash to constantly be upgrading. If I wanted to buy a PC gaming rig that can match or exceed the PS3 for power I would have to have one custome built and the price would be within the $3000-4000 range (bear in mind I live in Australia so everything is twice as expensive). The PS3 only costs me $850 or $1000 depending on what model I buy, this gives me a huge saving. So, yes its really expensive but by god, you get a lot more then what you pay for, plus, with games like MGS4, it'll be worth it.
Halo is easily a great choice for this section, you've got the best FPS single player game since Half Life, and a great mulitplayer component. And what about FarCry, I've playd that on my Dad's Celeron 1.3ghz with 640MB of SDRAM RAM and Radeon 9500SE. Played it easily and finished it Yes I turned the settings down, but that took all of five minutes.
How could none of the editors mention GTA? The island must do things to your brain... Anyway, here's my list: 1.GTA:SA - Its got everything for christ sakes. 2.Half-Life 2(With mods) - With the best action FPS gameplay ever, CS:Source and Gary's Mod, I'm happy. 3.Zelda Twilight Princess - Okay this hasn't been released yet but think about it for moment then try to deny that you would love it. 4.Crysis - Another yet to be released (this island had better have good PCs) but if you're on an island you need a game thats set on an island. And it must be game with jaw-dropping graphics, great AI and Physics and just coolness in general. 5.Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriot - I know, I know over half of my list is comprised of titles that aint come out yet but, chirst sakes, who in their right mind wouldn't want these games? MGS4 will be the ultimate blend of stealth and action with the greatest storyline ever (at leats until the next-gen GTA comes along).
