I'm pretty sure Wii-U is the last time Nintendo will be using the Wii brand.

i would say a deep immersive storyline, great characters, and music that fits the "feel" of the game...

anything else is just personal preference

josephl64

What? No they aren't. You left out some of the most important things like gameplay mechanics and controls. These things are much more important than story-line and characters.

Must we always do this?

Can we not co-exist in peace and love?

AtariKid, brother, take my hand.

hh

We may have our differences, but we are the same, you and I.

Take my hand and let us be an example. Let us lead SWs onto the path of peace, rationality and love...together.

It's what Sony and Nintendo would want.

[QUOTE="nightshade869"]Too much to read but I do agree. The quality of graphics reflects a lot on the developer. Crappy visuals=laziness. Madden is a great example. These "huge" graphical leaps for the game are a joke. MLB 09 The Show still looks better than Madden 12. It is sad really. A lot of the time graphics aren't pushed to the extreme due to deadlines or a lack of incentive. Modern Warfare is another perfect example.StrongDeadlift
This. Instead of hating on graphics all the time, Nintendo fans should be DEMANDING that Nintendo gives you better hardware. I mean, they sh*t on Sony fans all the time for being "drones", blind loyalists, and "eating up anything Sony throws at them, yet Nintendo is intentionally shorting you on hardware just so they can sell you a console with a high markup. They basically pulled an Apple on you with the Wii. They intentionally made their product less than what it could have been, because they know you'll run out and buy it anyways, and they can sell you a BETTER one in a few years. And you're happy with that nintendo fans?

Nintendo isn't Sony or MS. They can't sell hardware at a huge loss and then recoup those losses in some other section of their company because they are a gaming only company and a big part of their profit comes from selling hardware.

Wii was a risk for Nintendo. They didn't know if it would be a sure success based on its' innovation so they had to make a high profit on it so that if it failed they wouldn't be put into a financial hole.

Wii was Nintendo's only console that they took a big profit from by the way. Their previous consoles, they only made a small profit off each hardware (GC was sold at a small loss at launch).

Also TC, saying the reason people by new gen consoles is to see better graphics is bull.

People buy new gen consoles mainly for the new experiences, because they know that's where all the new games will be going and for whatever games are currently in its' library.

If there are people that run out to buy new consoles just because they want to see better graphics, then those people are a very small minority.

Graphics do matter. Gameplay just matters more.

I guess I'll just quote my reply to you from the other thread that you didn't bother to reply to.

I am obviously one of the 'sheep' (hate those crap labels) you are referring to.

I might have doubted this when the 3DS was struggling but it's obvious to anyone now.

The 3DS is now cheaper, tracking ahead of the DS' first year and already has a steadily growing library of first and third party games.

Not only does it have Mario games but a Pokemon game (biggest handheld franchise and system mover) announcement is supposedly going to be announced this month.

But most of all, one of PSP's biggest system mover and ace card, Monster Hunter, is now on 3DS (MHtG) and the fourth is confirmed to be coming to the system and we are not even sure if it will also be exclusive or multi-plat.

The 3DS is getting support from the major Japanese companies.

At this point it's obvious Nintendo has played all the right cards in turning around the fate of the 3DS. They've put it at the right price and are getting the games.

This isn't anything fanboyish, I'm not saying Vita is doomed but anyone who thinks Vita will have sales close to 3DS through-out the generation or even surpass it is living a pipe-dream.

Now tell me what was wrong with my post and counter my points since you seem to think I am wrong.

Ppl probably said the same thiing right before sony domintaed the home console market 2 gens in a row. Just because N has always won handhelds doesn't mean someone won't beat them someday even if it isn't sony.

1. I gave reasons why I think 3DS will dominate. None of those reasons were, 'because N has always won before'.

2. I specifically talked about THIS new generation of handhelds. Nowhere did I say no-one will ever beat Nintendo someday.

It's as if you didn't even read my post.
