That would be an unnecessary cost and would just make the bigger. Plus, there's digital distribution.
So, yeah, it was a crazy thought after all.

3Ds will share sales with Vita !!!!! isn't that obvious enough?
omho88
From what we know so far, it's obvious that 3DS is going to dominate the handheld market just like DS did.
That's not to say it will outsell the DS but it's going to sell much more than Vita. Vita isn't going to catch up.
The only question now is how well will Vita sell. We will have to see if it can be as successful as PSP was.
that's one major Crystal ball post ... I dun know how to replay, I dun have any crystal balls.
I might have doubted this when the 3DS was struggling but it's obvious to anyone now.
The 3DS is now cheaper, tracking ahead of the DS' first year and already has a steadily growing library of first and third party games.
Not only does it have Mario games but a Pokemon game (biggest handheld franchise and system mover) announcement is supposedly going to be announced this month.
But most of all, one of PSP's biggest system mover and ace card, Monster Hunter, is now on 3DS (MHtG) and the fourth is confirmed to be coming to the system and we are not even sure if it will also be exclusive or multi-plat.
The 3DS is getting support from the major Japanese companies.
At this point it's obvious Nintendo has played all the right cards in turning around the fate of the 3DS. They've put it at the right price and are getting the games.
This isn't anything fanboyish, I'm not saying Vita is doomed but anyone who thinks Vita will have sales close to 3DS through-out the generation or even surpass it is living a pipe-dream.

People always forget/ignore to mention that 3Ds is the only next generation portable on the market, which had a massive price cut couple of months after launch ...... what's so surprising in these #? If it can pull these numbers when the vita is out, then you can celebrate ... which ,I bet, will never happen.

Why do you think that?

It doesn't matter if Direct x and Opengl come in a supply a standard API that removes the need for making specific code for every single piece of PC hardware. All the low-end GPUs and CPUs still handle PC games differently. Same for medium and high end GPU and CPUs. You can see that from benchmarks.
O please stop the console mentally... theres a reason there are settings/options and requirements. If you can understand that stop trying to justify "your" reasoning which is wrong
All PS3 hardware on the other hand handle PS3 games the EXACT same way.
Ya so?
That's what I'm saying. Optimisation of games goes further in consoles than it does in PC. Not that console games can be optimised to beat PC games maxed out.
No it does not it all depends on what the dev's do. and why spend more time coding on 4+ year old tech? Pc gaming is progressive console gaming is static.
Let me just give one quick example:
Witcher 2 devs are porting the game to Xbox 360.
They have said they may be able to get the game running at medium settings on it at best and low settings at worst.
Yet, 360 hardware is below the minimum system requirements of the game on PC.
That's what I'm talking about.
Optimisation goes further on consoles.
That example is wrong The Witcher 2 is not going run on all medium settimgs its running most textures below Pc's low settings The witcher 2 all on medium setting uses more then 400mb of video memory at 720 and 1gb of system memory which means they will have to make alot more loading points and turn down the detail and resolutions to allow the game to work on 256mb of video memory and system memory. For games that push the consoles its not optimization its called compermising and toning down the graphics to make it work. You can downgrade anything to make it work but its not the same product in the end.
You can take Crysis 1 redone on consoles everything was doengraded to work you can also take Metro 2033 on console Pc's lowest texture setting is 2mpix while console version is only 1mpix. There's a difference between optiminzation and downgrading.
Quote from Witcher 2 devs:
"Graphically speaking we are finding clever ways to optimize the game that are providing excellent results. We feel we can deliver a game on Xbox 360 that is comparable to at least the default medium settings on PC (the minimum level of quality of medium pc and often much higher). It will be a process of give and take in regards to post processing features. But given the fact that the 360 is a closed system we will be able to max out the processing power available and provide a very compelling experience when compared not only to the Witcher 2 on PC but all of the latest games on 360."
I think I'll take their word over yours.
Either you don't understand what I'm saying or you don't know what you are talking about because optimisation going further in consoles than PC is a goddamn fact.
Benefits of a closed platform. End of story.
It has nothing to do with Consoles.
It's a shame but the game wasn't marketed and barley hyped prior to release at all.
AmayaPapaya
I know right?
I don't know what the TC is playing at.
Even going as far as to say 2D platformers sell better on PC.
It could work definitely for Vita or even the 3DS I'm sure, if they built an app for it. It is essentially streaming the games from a server, but however Sony or MS probably would not allow this, because it's a separate party offering games to their service, and neither Sony or Nintendo would probably want to add competition to their service or lose control and profits from another service on their systems. yoshi_64
Exactly.
Sony, Ms and Nintendo would most likely just get their own streaming service instead.
I think we will see the beginnings of them next gen but we won't see the full-blown thing until the gen after probably.
Onlive is a bit ahead of its' time I think.
After doing some research on the show, it appears that it's actually a very boring show that shows muslims that are americanised and have normal day to day lives like the rest of us.
These people boycotting it just do so because it doesn't fit their agenda of 'evil muslims here to blow up america and force islam on us.'
Just damn hypocrites that hate seeing truth going against their hate.
If they really are against radicals and terrorists, then why not support a TV show that shows muslims being just the opposite?
[QUOTE="jun_aka_pekto"][QUOTE="PAL360"]
It already looks beautiful on 360 so i imagine PC version to be a beast.
DragonfireXZ95
Sounds like an accurate accessment to me. On a nice HDTV, even the 360 version looked good. It's only in screenshots where I noticed the warts.
Even I noticed the flaws in a lot of the vanilla textures, contrast/saturation and shadows on PC at ultra settings while playing the game. I'm sure the 360 version is a lot worse. Go up to a rock on a cliff side, I dare you. The vanilla texture looks awful. Most people take in the whole scene and not little textures that some people seem so obsessed with.
